Ethan POV

The ambulance ride was going to be the longest thing in my entire life. I sat to the side of where the gurney was supposed to go, while the paramedics hoisted the stretcher up into the bed of the truck.

"Sir, do you have prefered trauma center you would like to go to?" The driver asks from the front of the cab.

“Bellview Hospital?” I ask quickly, as Avery is wheeled into the cab in front of me. I reach out and grab her hand, and the paramedic starts working on stopping the bleeding.

“You got it, thats the closest one,” He says as the cab doors shut. He starts driving while the other male paramedic sat next to me. The female paramedic started working on Avery.

"She's losing a lot of blood, best we can do is to try and Stop the bleeding, until we get to Bellview. Have you called in the trauma?" The paramedic shouts to the driver.

"Yeah, we're about two minutes out."

Suddenly, the heart monitor starts beeping rapidly. My stomach lurched and I fell forward, grabbing onto Avery’s hand.

“Sir, I’m going to have to ask you to let go,” The paramedic sitting by me says.

“No!” I can barely breathe, the beeping is starting to get faster. All of a sudden, the beeping stops.

“Sir, let go.” He says forcefully, pulling me away and holding me back, while the other paramedic starts tearing at Avery’s shirt and placing things over her chest. It suddenly clicks and he grabs the paddles and I start screaming and one paramedic is holding me back while the other one brings the love of my life back to life.
