Reader's POV

About a week had gone by since your first day at Peachcreek and it had been..interesting..to say the least. You had come across a pretty chill chick who called herself Nazz who was constantly followed by a buff dude named Kevin. Apparently he was the star quarterback. How cliche. But they seemed nice enough and you decided to exchange numbers.

You also met an odd fellow who made you feel bad for making your comment to Edd being mentally handicapped. No. Edd was a retarded dick. This new guy was harmless and meant well, yet he seemed..special..in his own special way. Ironically his name was also Ed, but with only one D this time.

Now, on a lovely Tuesday evening, you planned to head home and take a nice hot bath. As you headed to your locker you saw him. HHHhhhhh don't say anything to him Y/n..Just ignore him Y/n.. You told yourself. His locker was right next to yours. Edd's locker was directly to the right of yours. You couldn't believe it. Of all the lockers in this school his had to be right next to yours. Taking a deep breath, you walked as casually as you could to your locker without a word.

"Ah the silent treatment huh? What did I ever do to deserve this!" Edd laughed sarcastically. You turned to Edd and sighed, "Listen dude, I really don't wanna deal with you blabbering on about random shit just to annoy me. I just wanna get home and chill. How did I not notice your locker was right here anyway?" You turned and looked at him, talking to yourself more than him really. Edd smirked, "I typically get here right after you leave. On your arrival you were .8927 seconds late. Congrats hun." You scoffed, "Wow you must really not have a life huh?" Edd flipped the few strands of hair that dangled out of his beanie away from his face. "Perhaps I'm willing to devote that life to someone besides myself.." Ed smirked at your red face, "Ha! Ya know its real fun to make you blush like that Y/n."

"Would you fuck of-" Your words were cut short by a sudden call from a familiar voice. "Ayyyy Y/n! Whats up. Wanna walk home together?" Nazz smiled and ran up to you and Edd. "Oh hey Edd. Whats up, we don't talk much anymore. How have things been?" You smiled at Nazz, "I'd love to. And Edd was just leaving.." You glared over at Edd. "Eh we're all headed to the same place right? Hey! I got a great idea! Lets all walk home together!" Edd smiled at you. You only rolled your eyes at Edd and then looked over at Nazz, "That would be awesome!" Nazz said happily.

Don't get me wrong, you really do like Nazz, but sometimes she can be pretty fucking dense. Maybe I'm just being a bitch..You thought to yourself. After all, what could go wrong. Its just a block away..with Edd.

Before we even left school grounds, Nazz's friend Kevin runs up to her and starts to follow her. Kevin and Nazz are way ahead of you and Edd. Edd glanced at you and smirked. You were clearly annoyed about being left behind with Edd but he had found it to be quite amusing.

You both walked in silence for a while until Edd spoke, "So Y/n, wanna hang out sometime..?" Edd blunk awkwardly. "No." You replied bluntly, somewhat regretting what you said. You didn't mean for it to sound so cold. "Give me one good reason why." Edd looked at you. "Because I think you're kind of a douche bag." You smiled. Edd narrowed his eyes, "What makes me a douche bag? Is it because I called you an idiot last week? Listen Y/n I do that to everyone, theres no need to get pissy about it." You turned to Edd and yelled, "You called me a bitch! And yes, I was being a bitch, but in my defense I had to be a bitch so I wouldn't look like a complete pushover when you called me an idiotic sheep!" You turned away as you both continued to walk in silence.

"Sorry." Edd mumbled eventually. You coughed awkwardly, "Yeah whatever its fine." Edd's eyes flickered over to you, "I didn't call you an idiotic sheep though." You rolled your eyes, "Well you meant it." Edd smirked, "I said another idiot to add to the herd".

"Whatever Edd." You sighed and kept on walking, staring straight ahead. "And I didn't really mean it.." Edd said quietly. You blushed at these words and couldn't help but crack a small smile.

Soon enough you were in the center of the cul-de-sac. Apparently Kevin and Nazz had gone home already. "So I guess I'll see you tomorrow then?" You asked Edd. "Mhm. I mean..we can keep talking..like not in person but maybe over the phone?" You knew exactly what he was asking. You laughed and took a slip of paper from your backpack and wrote your number down on it. You both nodded to each other and went your own homes.

Back at reader's home:

You had just started up your bathwater when you heard the buzzing of your phone, someone had texted you. You rush over to your phone subconsciously hoping Edd had left the message. But it was only Nazz. You shrugged off the thought of Edd and texted her back:

Nazzle Dazzle: Yo Y/n! Sorry for leaving you dudes behind like that :P

Y/n: Na its cool, me and Edd were just ripping each other's throats out

Nazzle Dazzle: Lol don't say that you'll crush my dreams for there ever being Y/n x Edd babies ;)))))))

Y/n: NAZZ I SWEAR TO THE GOD THAT MAY OR MAY NOT EXIST I WILL MURDER U

Nazzle Dazzle: Lmao chill b I was jk

Y/n: Good luck ;))))))))

And with that you put away your phone and decided to enjoy a nice hot bath.
