About 2 or 3 weeks later, JJ and Yuri had become extremely close. It came to the point where they did almost everything together, and things don't stop here, Yuri was finally able to start to walk without needing a wheelchair and JJ is going to help him finally get back on his feet.
----------------------
Yuri looked up from his wheelchair and at JJ, "H-Hey... I-I'm scared..." He admitted. "I-I don't wanna fall..."JJ smiled caringly and put his arms out for him. "Just try stand up, if you fall, I'll catch you."
Yuri nodded and slowly stood up from wheelchair, his legs started to shake and he felt a bit dizzy. He took a step forward and fell forward into JJ's chest.
JJ smiled. "That's some progress."
Yuri smiled slightly. "I guess so..." He said as JJ slowly put his hands on Yuri's waist giving him space.
Yuri once again looked up at the older male with a scared expression. He shook his head. "I can't..."
"Yes you can." He said, going behind the younger male. "Take another step, I'll keep hold of your waist."
Yuri blushed but nodded and took a shaky step forward, then another. And another. "I-I'm doing it!"
JJ smiled. "Yeah, you are." He said and slowly let go, he walked over the other side of the room. "Try walk over to me, let's see how you do."
Yuri nodded and once again, took a shaky step forward. Then another until he was walking towards JJ. His legs wobbled quite a bit and he stumbled a few times but none-of-the-less, he was walking!
--------------------------------------
Yuri: You make this sound so happy when it's not.Me: STOOOOOOP.
--------------------------------------
He hugged JJ tightly after reaching him, crying from happiness.JJ smiled and hugged him back. "Well done, Yuri-Chan!" He said with a smile. Yuri smiled and thanked him.
The two later headed out, Yuri kept a hold of JJ's arm so that he kept his balance. Yuri wanted to skate again desperately, so with a lot of convincing JJ finally gave in and took him there.
Once they had reached the rink Yuri smiled and walked over to the bench sitting down. "It feels so good to finally be back here..."
JJ merely smiled at him and let him put his skates on. He still had second thoughts about all this, he wasn't too sure whether or not Yuri should be skating again or whether he was okay to. He just has to make sure he doesn't attempt jumps too soon. After all, his legs haven't healed fully so if he wants to start competitions again then he has to take it easy.
Once Yuri had put his skates on and walked over to the barrier around the ice, JJ was just tying the laces to his skates. He looked up at Yuri and smiled.
Yuri returned the smile and giggled over excited about this. Baring in mind, these two aren't quite dating just yet and JJ's already done so much for him. Maybe that will change soon, after all... This story doesn't end here nor does it have a happy ending. But more of that later.
He stood up after putting them on and got up walking over to the excited Russian teen. Yuri started skating around just as great as before. He didn't attempt a jump afraid he'd fall over and have to go back to hospital. They'd ask him what happened. He'd say "Oh, my friend took me skating." JJ would get the blame for all of this. All because Yuri valued his skating over something as important as his or JJ's life.
He sighed and continued to skate around until he saw JJ watching him with that smug smile on his face. Yuri stopped skating and rolled his eyes at him which made him skate over. "Hey, JJ."
"Yes, Yuri-Chan?"
"Do you think... I'll end up in the hospital again?" He asked, looking up at older skater with somewhat worry in his eyes. The older male didn't quite know how to reply to him so he just looked aside before looking back at Yuri.
"I really don't know, Yuri... I'm sorry. Only time will tell really... but I'll always be here for you, I'll try my hardest to help too."
Yuri nodded and looked up at the older male, he let go of him and smiled again skating off the rink. JJ followed him and the two began taking their skates off after they had sat down.
“Yuri,” JJ said looking at the older male and letting out a small sigh. He knew he'd regret these words that he was going to say, so part of him wanted to keep silent. But there was another part of him that wanted to let it all out. Hell, he wanted to scream it to the damned roof tops. Let the whole world know.
“Hm? Yeah, what's up, JJ?” Yuri asked after he had taken off his skates now putting his shoes on.
JJ sighed and shook his head tying his shoe laces by now. “Nevermind, its not important.” He said.
“Damn it!” He said quietly not aware Yuri could hear him, not aware he was thinking aloud. “I had my chance and I blew it... When am I ever gonna find the courage to tell him. My confidence is supposed higher than his so why can't I just say some simple words?”
Yuri nudged him. “Yo, J. You're thinking aloud. Tell who simple words?”
JJ froze. He felt his face heat up when he heard Yuri. How could he have been careless? He swore that he was just thinking what he was saying... He didn't open his mouth! He was sure of it.
“Oh...um...it's nothing, Yuri... Just tryna build confidence to tell my dad something that he's against.”
Yuri raised an eye brow obviously not believing JJ's excuse, he knew he was talking about something else and even though he wanted to get it out of him... He wouldn't push him into saying something he wasn't ready to say.
Keeping things bottled up inside you doesnt help in any way. It's better for you to say what you feel or how you feel about something or someone else. If you have any thoughts about other things you tell those you love to seek help from them. Just why couldn't JJ tell a simple few words to someone he loved? Is it... Really that hard?
