Chapter 24-Sports Festival and the Power of the Mind

Natsu was at home laying on his bed looking at the ceiling thinking about what happened before and how everyone reaction towards Lucy since the big news of her family name a weeks ago. "Why are people so scared of the Heartfilia?" He questions himself as he thought back to the time when his mother talked to the family involved with his father's disappearance and then got up and look at Igneel's letters. "I guess this proves for one reason" Natsu replied as he decided to get glass water from the kitchen. He drunk it down and noticed something on the table "Starlight, oh right Wendy had one at the dinner table, I guess she must have left it here" Natsu sat down at the table skimmed through the pages for a while until article title caught his eye. "The Betrayal of the Golden Stardust, that's Lucy model name," the article said things like Lucy was a liar and traitor. Some say that she was spying for her family trying to overpower the company. Lucy only defense is her siblings that own the company. The article also mentions that Shooting Star production might be out of business due to the people quitting their jobs and customers refusing to enter the building, even their regular guest stopped coming. Natsu sighed and said that's old news he put the magazine back on the table and was about you walked back up until he saw his little sister. "Wendy what are you doing up it's past your bedtime" Natsu stated "I know, but I came for a glass of water" she pour the glass and drank it down when she saw her magazine on the table "Hey it's that my old magazine I thought I threw it away" she stated. "Really? I thought you loved your Starlight Magazine" Natsu replied "Well yeah but this one has Pink link-Louise on the cover and I hate her" Wendy said "I see what you mean" Natsu replied while thinking back to the time when he first meet Louise.

The Next Day

Everything was normal at school, and the student was getting along, there was no one bulling Lucy and decided to go back to being her fans again. Natsu and the others SC Member got a visit from Principle Mavis "Oh Principle Mavis "Erza announced. "Greeting students I've come discuss something to you" Mavis replied as everyone in the room gather together to hear what she has to say. "As you know for the past few weeks we've been getting some bad reputation from others because of a certain man visit our school at one day" Lucy lowered her shame and blamed herself. Natsu noticed her sad expression and wanted to comfort her by placing his hand on her shoulder and right away she felt a little bit better. "Jude Heartfilia the owner of his own company paid me a visit to discuss about his daughter's future 'or should say the rising of his money' Lucy mumbled into the sentence and Natsu giggled to the statement as Mavis continued until Erza asked her something "What did Jude actually say to you" said the red-haired VP. "Well he thinks that my school doesn't have the education that his daughter needs and that she should transfer to a school of his choosing" that sentence gave out wide eyes. "But of course I asked him what education do we lacked for his daughter's best interest and told me that the school has too many distractions for one thing, for example. The Snow Fairy Festival" Mavis said and then Gray spoke up "Hold on that party is original Fairy Tail Tradition, he can't complain about that" the dark-haired stated. "True but that doesn't matter to him apparently" Mavis replied "I'm not surprised that man has always been like that" said from the voice behind the sliding door opening "Jude is the type of businessman that doesn't allow any fun" all eyes stared at the person and recognized it was Lucy's brother Leo. "Hey man what are you doing here," Gray asked "Mavis called me and told me to head over to the school" Leo replied as he gave Mavis a disturbing stared. "So I have to ask Principle Mavis why did you agree to Jude's terms of transferring Lucy from your school, I sure you had a good reason" the orange-haired started. "I didn't want to agree at first but that Jude was a stubborn man and lectures about things that have little value but also prove an excellent point to our status. for example, having a student with low average grade shouldn't be chosen for the school's student president and working as a waiter in a butler's Cafe would be considered poor taste according to him." Mavis statement made Natsu give out a gloomy expression "Well excuse me for supporting my family, not like that guy gives a damn" Mavis and the other girls giggled to his replied while Leo and Gray just smiled. "Also Jude told me this school should have stayed as an all-girl school and maybe he would have allowed Lucy to enroll here if it was still called mermaid heel. But I beg to differ even if the school became coed a school is still a school and students in Fairy Tail High come not only to study for education but also come to make a friend and can even relax during stressful times. I wanted Jude to understand that whatever his child choose it should be her choice alone." Lucy praised to Mavis statement, and then Leo spoke up "but wait? Principle Mavis if you agree with Lucy's choice then why did you agree with her father in transferring her into his school" the brother asked. "Like you said I have reasons and of course I told him if I were going to agree to his terms he would have to agree to mine" Mavis replied. "What agreement did you make?" Levy asked. "Well then the Sports festival is coming up, so I decided to take this opportunity to prove to that man is wrong about this school" Mavis answered "Sports Festival?" Lucy said, "Yeah this has events of activities and every year we have a contest in each sporting event, such as basketball, volleyball, Tennis you name it." Erza stated. "Oh I get it you asked Lucy's father to show up to the events and have us rub it in his face," Natsu said. "Yeah I guess you can put it that way, and to answer your question Levy the agreement we made that if Lucy is successful in winning first place in two events. One is a sport, and one is a quiz contest he agrees to have Lucy stay however if she false in even one event then she will transfer" Mavis stated. All heads pointed towards the blonde "So Lucy are you okay with this" Natsu asked and then she nodded "Yes I do everything in my power to success"Lucy's fist pumped the air, and everyone smiled and cheered with her. Leo was happy for his sister choosing but also has a bad feeling that something isn't right. "Alright the festival is on three weeks so be prepared" Mavis spoke "Also there is one more thing" she said and heard open "No one else should know about this act like everything is normal" said the little blonde principle "of course not we never attended to anyway" Erza replied, and the other agreed.
