We arrived there in a limo and Sebastian took my hand as the paparazzi took pictures of us. When we got to the entrance, every where was dark and quiet. Only the stage had mood lights directed on it.Candles were on the tables, so I could see people seated but I couldn't see their faces because of the masks they had on.The place was pin-drop silent,the moment we entered and just when I needed Sebastian,He said that he had to go to the stage to reveal the new product. Once he left , an Usher directed me to a chair that was right in the centre of the entire hall.
“Why can't I sit with the others?” I whispered to the waiter.
“Sir, has instructed that you sit here, where he can see you because he doesn't want to go round looking for you”. I looked at Sebastian, who was on stage and he winked at me. I quietly sat down on the single and lonely chair as Sebastian began his speech.
“Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen. I would like to thank you all for coming this evening to join us in the celebration of the launch of a new product.Without further delay, I would like to reveal the product”. He pressed a button and instead of the banner,or whatever it was, to roll down, the lights that were directed on the stage turned off. Making everywhere dark . Only the candle lights illuminated the room.I couldn't even see Sebastian anymore.
“Uhh, I'm sorry everyone, there must have been some technical difficulties. Let me try again…”I guess he pressed the button and the stage lights came on but this time around,Instead of standing, Sebastian was on one knee with a box in his hand. A huge board of letters came on with the words ‘WILL YOU MARRY ME?’ written boldly. I was clapping for the person it was for,until two men carried myself along with my chair, people handed me roses as I passed by. They dropped me at the foot of the stage stairs and that's when it hit me. Reece just proposed to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. ‘Sometimes I wonder how I'm a straight A-student’ I thought to myself.
I slowly walked up the stairs as tears streamed down my cheeks . I couldn't believe it. I pulled Sebastian up and pulled him in for a kiss, making everyone cheer. I pulled away and looked him in the eyes.
“Yes!" I screamed and he grinned.
“Thank you" He slide the ring through my finger and gave me a kiss on the cheek before turning around to face the audience. All the lights came on and all the guests took off their masks and that's when I recognised the people in the audience . My mom, Reece’s family, David, Kayla, Amber and so many people. My friends ran and engulfed me in a hug as we came down the stairs.
