Chapter 1:

Chapter One: Everything comes to a good cause

Introduction:

     [My name is Luna Moon Rivers and I am a sixteen year old girl from the state of California. My parents have always adored me because I am the nicest person they claim to have ever known but that's not true. I am a very nice person unless you get on my bad side. I go to a great school where I have many good friends and I never really get in trouble unless I know its for a good purpose. I have always been taught to stand for myself and the ones that I love. If you hurt my family, I am going to hurt you back. If you hurt my friends, I am going to hurt you too. Most importantly, everyone else comes before me no matter what, even if I don't like them that much.]

     It was the last month of my junior year and I am really excited about prom. Today, me and my friends are going to pick out our prom dresses. I have my license but I still didn't have a car so I asked to borrow my moms car. She happily gave me the keys without hesitation because I have been keeping up my good attitude at home. I went upstairs to get my things. I was supposed to meet Carla, Shae, Brianna, and Dannie at 2:00 and it's already 1:38. I quickly pull my hair in a simple pony tail and make sure I didn't look like a trash bag wearing my boyfriend's sweatpants and hoodie. I put in a piece of minty gum and put my things in my hoodie pocket. I quickly run downstairs and say bye to my mom and dad. I grab the car keys off the counter and I walk out the door. I start the car and start driving to the mall and luckily, it wasn't very far away from my house so I got there on time. I met my friends at the entrance and we all went to look at dresses.

Most of the dresses were too girly or expensive for me. As I was walking with my friends to Starbucks for a coffee break, the were snickering. It was confusing because they were the ones that suggested we go to Starbucks. I opened the door to be instantly pulled into the smell of coffee heaven. My friends told me what they wanted and they made me go order our drinks. I went and sat down with my friends to wait for our order. Shae quickly types something on her phone with a huge smile. Shae grabs the receipt out of my hand and she reads it.

She types something else on her phone and locks her phone, grinning at me. Fifteen minutes later, someone taps my shoulder and I turn around and instantly jump out of my chair.
    
He says "Did you miss me?" He sits our drinks down and I leap into his arms.
    
"Why do you always look better in my clothes than I do?" I blush at what he says instantly. I bury my face into his chest, getting the scent of his cologne filling my nose.
    
He kisses the top of my head and says "Are you going to let your drink get cold just to hug me forever Moon?" I look up at him and nod my head yes. He chuckles and pecks me on the lips.
    
I stick my bottom lip out like a puppy. He smiles and then looks me straight in the eye as he grabs my face with both of his hands. He traces his thumbs in little circles on my cheeks as he crashes his lips against mine. We pull apart and I smile like and idiot as I let go of him and sit down. He sits down beside me and scoots my chair closer to his. He wraps his arm around me and my heart just melts.
    
Cara says "So, Jake, when do you start working at Hot Topic?"
     "Tomorrow, but I don't want to talk about that. I want to enjoy Moon's company for now." All of my friends start giving me a look and I blush, instantly shoving my face into Jake's side.
    
He lifts my chin up and says "Don't hide it, I love it when you blush. God, you are the most beautiful girl I have ever met and you have filled my heart all the way up with the little things you do." I get butterflies in my stomach and I smile. I put my head on his shoulder and he kisses my forehead.
    
I grab my coffee and take a sip and it instantly burns my lip. I scream "Ow, ow, ow."
    
My friends laugh at me but Jake lifts my head up and says "What happened?"
    
"I burned my fucking lip!"
    
He grabs my face and says "Let me see." Out of nowhere, he smoothly places his lips on mine.
     We pull away and he says "Did that help?"
    
I start smiling like an idiot and I say "Much better."
    
I start to hear the sounds of four camera's clicking. I look over to see all of my friends had taken a picture of me and Jake. I flip them off and Jake just starts laughing his ass off.
    
I go to grab my coffee but Jake grabs it and takes a sip of it. I gasp and look at him with a hurt expression on my face. He pecks the tip of my nose and gives me a grin. He still doesn't hand me my coffee back so I start to scoot my chair away from him but he pulls me back.
    
"If I don't have my coffee then I won't have anymore energy left to look at prom dresses." He instantly hands me my coffee.
    
He says "Only because I love you and I am not going to prom without my girl.
    
Brianna says "Okay, we should go look at more dresses before I have to go home without a dress." All my friends stand up and just look at me and Jake.
    
I say "You guys go ahead, I want to spend time with Jake."
    
Jake says "Babe you can go look at more dresses. Besides, aren't you coming over to my place in an hour or two?"
    
"Jake can't you just look at dresses with her?" Dannie asks with a confused look.
    
I say "No because we promised not to show each other what we were wearing to prom."
    
Shae says "Awe, that's so cute. Why don't I have something like this with George?"
    
I stand up and say "I'll see you later baby." I peck him on the lips really quickly. I go to walk off but he grabs my arm. I giggle and I give him another kiss and he deepens it.
    
We finally pull apart and he says "Have fun Moon, I'll see you later." I peck him on the lips one last time and my friends and I walk off.
    
An hour later, we were all saying our goodbye's as we walked out of the mall. I was walking to my car and I noticed Nicole.
    
Nicole is Jake's ex-girlfriend and I really don't like her because she still try's to get him back. She got into the passenger seat of a car that looked exactly like Jake's. She was kissing the guy that was in the driver's seat but I couldn't get a good look at his face.

That's when I noticed.....

                                   .....It was Jake
