Warning:
So much crying————————————
Silent tears, Jack thought, are terrifying.
Loud, broken sobs? That's normal. Hiccuping gasps? Sure, healed with a glass of water and a hug. But when he walked in to find his fiancé sitting up in bed, large tears rolling silently down her face, he had no idea what to do. He simply froze.
"U-uh... Anna?"
She didn't move. Sitting down carefully in front of her, Jack reached out and took her face in his hands, raising her chin so that he could see her face.
"What's wrong, babe?" He murmured, looking over her to see if there were any injuries. Her bronze eyes flickered up to his ocean eyes, her face suddenly screwing up into a sob. Tears filled Anna's eyes as her shoulders began to shake, curling in on herself as more and more broken cries came ripping out of her lips.
Quickly, Jack pulled her close to his chest, feeling her tuck closer as the tremors racked her body. His heart absolutely wrenched at the desperate, pained sounds coming out of his fiance's lips.
"H-hey, shh... It's okay Anna, shh shhh..." Jack murmured in her ear, running his fingers through her hair steadily in an attempt to calm her. He pulled her into his lap, his legs crossed indian-style, rubbing her back as she pressed her face into his shoulder and managed to get even closer to him. Jack began to rock back and forth slowly. He continued talking to her, hoping to stop her gut-wrenching sobs by distracting her. He inwardly yelled in victory as he heard her sobs slow down over time until she was quietly hiccuping with the remaining tears.
Waiting a few more minutes, he gradually pulled her away. Holding her still, Jack looked at Anna's tear stained face, leaning down to press a careful kiss to her forehead.
"What happened, hun?" He said gently, pressing his forehead against hers and smiling softly when he heard her voice.
"T'day..." she rasped in a voice still heavy with tears, "hard." Jack waited a second then nodded carefully when he realized that was all he was gonna get out of her.
"Alright, do you want to watch a movie and calm down a bit? You can snuggle with me." He added, claiming it as a victory when he felt Anna nod. He stood slowly with his shaking fiancé in his arms, beginning to walk over to the couch.
"Alright hun. Let's go."
