A New Life

When I woke up I found that I was bound to the bed by straps, this of course made me freak out a little. With me having my little freak episode it made my heart rate go up and then a nurse came in. I recognized her as the one that put something in the Iv line. She came closer at a slow pace to show me that she meant no harm, I let her come closer this time. "Hey, how are you doing?"she asked me. "I-I am doing better. And so-o-rry for freaking out on you before." I hate that I Stutter. "It's quite alright, you were scared and in a unfamiliar place." She said quietly. She came closer and I know that she was checking my vitals. After checking them she backed up, giving me the space that I needed. "You should get some rest, you look tired" she stated. And she was right I am exhausted, I didn't know that you could be this tired. And with that she left.

Victoria's pov

I walked into the lobby and talked to the receptionist, "I am supposed to be meeting with the doctor that I talked to on the phone about a little girl that was found." The receptionist told me to wait in the waiting room for a bit. I see the doctor walking towards me with a clipboard. "Please follow me Mrs. Kinsin." As we walk she tells me about the girls health mentally and physically. We get to the room and inside I see a young teen sleeping on the bed looking peaceful in her sleep. "When can she be discharged?" I asked curiously. "She will have to stay overnight that way we can make sure that her injuries are fully healed, she should be able to go into your care tomorrow." She answers me. After saying that she left and I went into the room. As I walk in I could tell that she was having a nightmare with the way her face contoured, she then started screaming. That is when I tried to calm her down and wake her up, she woke up but she screamed at me to leave her alone and not hurt her. I backed away and held up my hands to let her know that I mean no harm, she calmed down a little. "Hello my name is Victoria Kinsin and I will not hurt you Lexi, after you get discharged you will be in my care." She looked at me with a bit of surprise but overall it was fear that I could see in her beautiful blue, green eyes. "h-hello Miss w-why are you being s-so nice t-to me?" she asked while stuttering. "Because I am the one that will be taking you in. After you get the OK from the doctor's." The look of fear on her face was worrying to me. "You don't have to be afraid my dear you are going to be in good hands. I have took in so many kids like you that I know how to take care of what ever problem may arise." My speech seemed to calm her down just a bit, but I can still see fear in her eyes.

Time skip 3 days
Lexi pov
I have been out of the hospital for 3 days now and I am still not happy about the situation I have been put into. I mean Victoria is a good person, but she wants me to talk about my problems. I don't want to talk about those things, I mean yeah it would help but it will only help so much. The pain is still there. I was locked away for four years, imagaine what that does to someone's mind. No matter how long I talk about it, the memories are still going to be there.
