It was summer in Gravity Falls, one I will never forget. My parents thought me and my sister Helena but we called her Lanie, needed some sun and some days to be around nature. I had not been in Gravity Falls before. Ever. My Uncle and Mom had been in a thing called weirdmaggedon in Gravity Falls. My uncle's name was Mason Pines. I never really saw him much. When ever I asked my mother where he was she always had the same answer. "He is off on vacation with your aunt." When I was 7 I figured out that 2 people cant go on vacation that much but I just kept my mouth shut and didn't mention it.
I did know one person in Gravity Falls. Her name is Chelsea. We met online. She needed help with her science homework so I helped her. Then we just started talking again and again so I guess we became friends. But here is where the real story starts.
"Bus 16 leaving for Gravity Falls." I got on the bus with my legs shaking because I was so nervous about meeting Chelsea. My mom kissed me on the head and said,
"Don't get involved in any trouble you two.." Those words would come back to me later on.
" It had been a 9 hour bus ride but it was worth it." said my sister Lanie. We got off the bus with our legs hurting. We stretched and then something happened that it seemed like I had waited for for three life times. I saw Chelsea and she came up and hugged me so hard I felt like I was about to cough up all my organs.
"Welcome to Gravity Falls ya nerd!" Chelsea said to me after releasing me from the hug. "Hey." I said. I felt like I wanted to say more but her tight grip on me didn't allow me to.
"So you know how I've been searching in the woods for something weird? Well I finally think I found something completely out of the ordinary. You just have to see if for yourself." said Chelsea. "I will be right back Lanie." I said. Lanie already knew where we were staying so she hiked there.
Me and Chelsea kept going deeper and deeper into the forest. We stopped and looked at a weird looking statue of a triangle pyramid with a hat. It looked like it was reaching for something.
Chelsea told me, "I still don't know what it means though. I asked a person but I got tased."
While we were standing there, I felt a slight rumble under my feet. I should have noticed it more but I didn't think much of it. If you listened closely you could hear a sick twisted laugh.
"Come on let's go I need to show you where you will stay." said Chelsea. We ran farther into the forest when we stopped at a place called The Mystery Shack.
"The Mystery Shack?" I asked. "This place has been up and running for years now. This is where you and your sister will be staying with me and my Uncle ," Chelsea said.
I walked into The Mystery Shack and I saw a creature called the Sascrotch. It was obviously fake but people believed in it. A man in a suit came up to me and said, "What's up dude. I'm Mr. Mystery, but you can call me Soos." Chelsea led me away while rolling her eye. "Come on I will show you your room up in the attic." Chelsea said.
I walked up a dark staircase which lead me to an even darker room. Chelsea turned on the lights and there were two beds and that was it. I got up on the left bed and I touched the walls and got a splinter.
" Oh yeah, you might wanna stay away from the walls," Chelsea said. " I'm gonna go outside and get some fresh air," I said. "Ok, be careful." Chelsea said.
I walked out of the house into the woods. I heard a whisper and got a creepy cold feeling. I stepped on a switch and I fell at least 15 feet until I landed on a soft thing but my head still shot back. I looked around and no one was in there. I saw a book that had the number 3 on it. I looked inside and saw pictures of the triangle guy and monsters and magic spells.I found stairs that lead to the way out so I went up the stairs and went back to The Mystery Shack. It was weird and at the time I just thought I hit my head to hard on the landing.
"Chelsea, I found this journal thing!" I said. " A journal?" Chelsea asked." It has Monsters and magic and demon things,"I said. Soos then suddenly grabbed the journal and said," So you found the old man's hiding spot now did you?"
I looked at him confused. " Ben, do you know where your Uncle Mason is?" Soos asked. " He is on some vacation." I said. "So I'm guessing that's what she's been telling people.."He whispered. " He wrote two other ones just like it and i'm gonna use this fles... i mean i'm gonna find them,"Soos said. Soos handed me a pistol looking thing. It looked futuristic. He did not tell me what to do, he just walked away with a strange look on his face like he had just watched someone die.Then I heard the chilling words,"Your going to need this pine tree." Then I heard the sick laugh again.
"Did you hear that?" I said. " Hear what?" Chelsea asked. "Never mind." I said. I walked out of the room and the pistol shrinked so I put it in my pocket not knowing what to do with it. and out into the woods again. I heard things moving around in the bushes. Suddenly a old man in a rocker hoodie jumped out and started screaming and threw rocks at me and then he started trying to punch me.
He kept saying, " The Pines will be cursed. Everything will fall down and worship the great one!" I ran away now bleeding on my head and arms because the kid kept on throwing rocks and punching me. I ran all the way back to the shack and as I got to the door I collapsed and fainted.
I woke up with bandages all over me and my sister and Chelsea kept on saying "Ben are you ok? What happened to you?"
I got up with my head feeling like I hit my head with a rock 50 times. Chelsea and Lanie kept telling me to lay back down. But I refused to lay back down. I got up and said, " I'm gonna go somewhere real quick." Chelsea kept on trying to get me to stay but I out ran her. Then I ran to the statue of the triangle and it was not there. It has disappeared. Then I saw the triangle man and he said to me, "Hi the names Bill, what's yours? Just kidding, I already know your name Ben." "How do you know my name?" I asked. "Ben, I know lots of things." As he did this he turned black and suddenly got a deep demonic voice. "and I want revenge. Since I have no idea where your uncles are, I'm gonna have to settle for you." Bill said. So what does this have to do with me?" I asked. "20 years ago your uncles and mom sent me to a place where chaos was punished and I was tortured for years. so now I want you and your family to be a corpses," Bill said. "Like I said, we will meet again Pine Tree, we will meet and this time I won't lose to a child."
Bill suddenly disappeared as he said," The universe is a hologram. Reality is an illusion buy gold bye!" I woke up on the ground and ran back to The Mystery Shack. It was completely empty. I searched and searched but no one was there. Suddenly there was a rumble and three bubbles popped out. One was a question mark, the other was a shooting star, and then there was a . I automatically knew that the rainbow was Lanie. I had to save her. I thought for a second, I knew that the bag of ice was Chelsea and I wondered what the question mark was? I then saw a picture of Soos with a question mark tee shirt on. So I knew who they all were. I had to go for Chelsea first. I ran to the bridge where Chelsea's bubble was. As I ran to the bubble, Bill appeared and said, "So I guess you are the Pine Tree." Then Bill shot a fist like thing at me. The fist like thing hit me in the face and I got knocked out.
I woke up inside of Chelsea's bubble. I got up and saw a lot of grass and trees and flowers and a cottage house out by a lake. I walked up to the house to find Misha Collins there. I thought in my head. Of course this would be Chelsea's fantasy. I kept walking to find Chelsea combing her hair in front of a big mirror.
"Come on Chelsea we need to go," I said. Chelsea said, "No I like it here, I don't wanna go." I grabbed Chelsea and told her, "This place is not real!" Then the ground started shaking and the grass became dead and Misha Collins became worms. A creature came up to me obviously trying to kill me. I got out the pistol Soos had given me and started shooting at the creature.We quickly started running and I started aiming for the head of the beast. I saw a big red button and we all know when you see a big button that means either you are going to die or the thing chasing you is. I pressed the big red button and suddenly a blinding blue light came from the gun. The huge monster blew up and chunks of worms and other bugs went all over the place lucky not Chelsea and I. The only bad thing the explosion did was pop the bubble. We fell down 8 feet but landed safely. I then explained everything to chelsea.
"So an evil demon is trying to get revenge on you for something your uncles and mom did?" Chelsea asked. "Yeah, they must have stopped him or something," I said. Then I got knocked out when something hit my head. I woke up in some type of dark thing. It was pitch black and I couldn't see anything. I heard Bill's voice say something to me but I could not make out the words. It sounded like."Revenge will be paid with blood and corpses."
I woke up on the Gravity Falls railroad bridge. My head was hurting really badly. I could hear Chelsea's voice but my eyes were still adjusting. The sky had turned black and I had been out for three minutes.
"Come on we need to go!" Chelsea yelled. I kept trying to get up but I kept falling. I tried one last time and I fell but this time not on the bridge.
"Ben!" I heard Chelsea scream. I felt like my life was flashing before me. Everything was going in slow motion. I just kept on thinking. This is how I'm going to die. I wasn't ready to die yet. I had not experienced so many emotions and feelings I wanted to.
I rushed down to the ground. It came quicker then I thought. I felt everything go in slow motion. I hit the ground I felt every part of my body suddenly break. Then suddenly everything was dark. Then I was blinded by a bright light.
"Get up and don't give up. You can do anything through hope. Hope is stronger than any metal or magic because real hope never goes away. Now wake up and don't give up."
I suddenly woke up back on the bridge. Chelsea Suddenly to me with her face riddled with horror.
"OH NO YOU DON'T. ZAP!" Bill said shooting a zap of lightning at chelsea. Chelsea fell to the ground motionless. Everything seemed to slow down for those 5 seconds that everything happened. It happened quicker than a blink of an eye.
I looked at chelsea. I caught her falling body. Tears started falling from my eyes as I held chelsea in my arms. Chelsea looked up at me and smiled and said " I always knew something was special about you." as her eyes closed and as she took her final breath.
I held her lifeless body like a wet rag. Tears came from my eyes. My face was like a river that had just gone wild. I was filled with anger and sadness I couldn't figure out which one I was more of.
I went and turned around and saw Bill laughing like a madman. I quickly reached in my pocket while running towards Bill I took out the pistol. In the moment I didn't care what I would risk I felt like everything had been taken away from me. I felt that nothing even my own life mattered in the moment.
