"Good morning class, please take out your books and turn to page 56, today we will be doing a grammar lesson." Mrs. K told us. The class groaned, but did what they where told.
"Correct this sentence. Billy wents to the store and buys 5 egg." said Mrs. K, as she wrote the sentence on the board.
No one volunteered to correct the sentence.
"Picky class today? Abby. Please correct the sentence." Mrs. K said.
"Uh... Billy went to the store and bought 5 eggs." I said nervously.
"Good job! Class, please pay attention to Abby when she speaks, maybe you can learn something from her." Mrs. K told the class.
                 -Time skip to lunch-
I grabbed my tray and sat at an empty table. Addy followed behind me and sat beside me.
"Class was crazy today wasn't it?" Addy asked me.
"Yeah it sure was." I said.
"Are you ready for the math test tomorrow?" Addy asked me, while taking a bite of her sandwich.
"I don't know.. math isn't really my thing, I don't think I'm going to do good on it, but please don't tell mom!" I told her.
"Don't worry I won't, I'm not great at math either." she said.
"Better than me." I said laughing a little bit.
"You'll be fine." She smiled at me. "On the bright side, dad is coming home tomorrow!" She excitedly said.
"What!? He is!?" I said, shocked.
She gasped. "Oops! I wasn't supposed to tell you.. it was going to be a surprise." She said quietly.
Our dad was in the military and rarely came home.
"Oh.. that's okay, I'm glad to know, how did you know?" I asked her.
"Alexa told me." she said.
"Right.." I said finishing my sandwich and throwing my tray away. The bell rings and we head to our last classes.
                  -End of School-
Thankfully, Mom got off work early today and picked us up after school. I sat in the car and put my backpack infront of me and looked at my books. 5 things for homework.
"How was school today?" Mom asked us.
"Great!" Alexa and Addy said at the same time.
"Anything fun happen?" Mom asked them.
"Abby slipped on stairs." Alexa said laughing. I stayed quiet.
"Alexa, that's not something to laugh about, ask your sister if she's okay." Mom told her.
"I'm fine!" I said before Alexa could answer. I just want to be alone.
