Another day, another killing. Jeff had been very busy lately. With his usual record of ten killings per town, the authorities had caught on, which was not good. They'd been chasing him for about five months and here lately they've been getting closer. Which brings us to today. Jeff was on his rare killing spree which meant he'd be killing a lot more tonight. With a total of fourteen killings Jeff was now running through the forest. He was about to get his fifteenth killing when all the sudden he was caught by none other than the county sheriff. So now he was running. He could hear the sirens closing in. Soon he was at the edge of the forest. Soon he'd be caught.

Jeff jumped over the bushes and covered his head as he made it to the end of the woods. He quickly looked around. To his left were houses, right was sirens and flashing lights, and in front was a old building and alley way. There was only one way and that was through the alley. He ran as fast as he could across the street. As he was about to make it to the entrance of the alley he felt a sharp pain in his leg. His eyes shot over to the blazing sirens only feet away and the officers closing in on him. He limped as fast as he could down the alley. He was breathing hard and losing a lot of blood. He looked back at the police cars and the officers chasing after him. He stopped dead in his tracks and grabbed two little knives that were in his hoodie pockets. With all his might he threw them straight at the two officers chasing him on foot. The knife hit the first man straight in the forehead and the other in the chest. They were definitely dead. Jeff proceeded to run further down the alley way. He'd lost them for now. He sat against the brick wall breathing heavily. He used his original knife to cut off a little of his hoodie. He threw the knife down and bandaged his leg. He picked up his knife and put it back in his hoodie. He looked around. No sirens, only silence. He was safe... for now.

Jeff slouched against the wall. His breaths were now slow and shaky. He sat there shaking. He leaned his head back to the wall for support. "Heh.. I-I'm so tired." He said looking down at his wounded leg. The bandage had already turned red. "Look at that. Its bled through already." He smiled as he drifted off.

In a panic Jeff sat straight up. He'd heard the sirens. Jeff cringed as he stood up. Using the wall for support again he started to limp as fast as he could. Soon he was met with an intersection of alleys. He rounded the left corner. Dead end. Straight went into the streets. So he limped over to the right. He was breathing heavily as he met with a wooden fence. He was starting to doubt this.

Jeff used all of his strength to hoist himself over the fence. He landed hard. He stood up slowly. The pain was growing worse in his leg. "I-I should be s-safe here." He said looking around. He was wrong. He hadn't noticed but the sirens were closing in fast. "We have you surrounded. Come out with your hands up!" The voice blared. Jeff gave a weak smile as he looked over to the lights. He then collapsed there on the ground.

Jeff slowly awoke from his deep slumber. "W-where am I?" Jeff asked as he looked around the unfamiliar room. His eyes widen as he realized where he was. "A-A hospital?" He gulped as he looked around once more. 'If I'm here then that means... I-I was caught,' he thought,'I was finally caught.' Jeff sighed as a tear made its way down his cheek. He smiled and then began to laugh. "I would have rather died there... not here, not at that place." He said as his breathing was slowing down. He knew where he was going. He knew what the sentencing would be. All he wanted to do was sleep. "Heh.. how ironic." He chuckled as once again his breathing was slowing down. "So this is my end.. I'm glad it was here.. I don't have to live in this hell anymore." Jeff took one last deep breath. "Heh.. go to sleep." He smiled once more before he fell into his eternal slumber. Nurses rushed in to aid the killer. They tried their hardest but to no prevail. Jeff was gone. The legacy had ended. Jeff died there. Wounded and restrained. That was his wish. His last words and thoughts. A girl, about the age of thirteen, had witnessed the killers last words and death. A tear rolled down her cheek as she smiled and whispered "Go to sleep."
