Bea's pov:

The war started, it was scary since I feared for my friends lives but above all I feared Quinn's life.

We barely saw each other but I think someone had a chat with her because she doesn't ignore me anymore.

I was worried right now because of her, sitting outside the medic's cabin and listening to the screams from inside.

I threw a wolf from Cain's pack off me but it tackled me again, it was a fucking hybrid!! Half as fast as a vampire but mostly a wolf.

I yelled a bit as it clawed my arm, leaving the break marks like if you broke ice since remember vampires don't bleed.

"Get away from her!!" The wolf was shoved off me by Quinn looking really pissed.

"Quinn be careful!!" But another wolf tackled her and bit her, I froze at the sound of breaking bones before it threw her at a thine tree which broke under the strength of the hit.

I had run back here with her because if bones were broken they needed to be set back into place for it to heal properly and right now the wolf doc and Hans were.... Were.... Well breaking her misplaced bones again to set them back into their rightful place.... I shiver at the thought and cringe at the screams, I would never be able to bare it and the worst is she can't even faint to avoid this pain.

"Cain will die for this" I whispered to myself before sighing and looking at the sky, arms crossed over my chest and shoulders tense as I tapped my foot against the ground nervously as no more sounds came.

I quickly turned to the door as it opened and both doctors stepped outside.

"How is she?" I asked.

"She is good now." Hans said with a smile, they are family after all so I bet he is as relieved as I am right now if not more...... Nah I am more that's for sure.

"Can I go in?"

"Sure."

I slowly went it, it was a big house just filled with beds and curtains for walls, like a normal hospital room just much much bigger, massive.

I walked passed the currently mostly empty room with a few other injured then Quinn in here, I easily found her.

"Hey." I said softly, she laid on her back with her whole top half bandaged up with her left arm too, it was also in a sling, my face went red since she technically one was in shorts despite the bandages hiding away anything else. she was visibly sweaty but who wouldn't be if you got your bones broken and re-positioned when you were awake?

"Hey." She said while opening her eyes with a small weak smile as I sat on a chair on her right side and took her hand since this was the unbroken side, tracing patterns on her palm, I stared a bit since this was the first time I saw her with detached hair, it was pretty, she was pretty.... Really pretty.

"So how bad was it?" I brushed her hair away from her face making her smile more.

"Well the wolf I tackled landed in a weird way and as I fell on it my hand slipped on its fur and I broke my wrist, the other that tackled me had the time to shatter my whole shoulder area in its jaw and my upper arm before it threw me and the ribs on my right side suffered breakage too.... Don't worry I already broke my ribs so many times in my childhood I learned to put the back into place with most of my bones.... It's just that here I was too exhausted and in the middle of a war."

"Well that doesn't reassure me."

"Haha you worry too much."

"I can't help it." I said and she became silent, both of us knowing partially what had made me so worried.... The bond, this mate bond, I wanted it gone at the start but each time I think back to that day wanting it gone feels wrong and well.... I wish I hadn't told her that in my anger and waited a bit.

"Don't worry I will break the bond at the end of the war as promised."

"Don't." I whispered, not looking at her and I barely heard what I said myself but I knew her ears were better than mine. "I might have not wanted this at the start but this annoying bond forced me to like it." I humorlessly chuckled with a meaningless smile as I looked at her before sighing as she stared at me, waiting for me to talk. "Trust me when I say I was furious when I realized this but then became sad as you ignored me, not finding the bond annoying anymore and such.... I started feeling.... Feeling what the bond brought with it.... Even on that day despite not knowing it I had already agreed to the bond...."

"I love you more than anything, no matter what you choose I will accept it."

I smiled and stood up without letting go of her hand and leaned over her so we were face to face, I smiled as she stared up at me.

"I don't care if at the start it's was a bond that forced me to like you, I really don't care because I do love you too." I smiled and leaned down, placing a kiss on her lips.

I was smiling happily when I pulled away and she seemed a bit surprised before smiling too.

"Now do that sleep imitation thingy you have so you can get better soon."

"Will do missy."

"Now now don't get cocky."

"When am I not?"

"True."

"Haha."

"I really am annoyed with you."

"Love you too."

"Yeah yeah me too as you know now."

"Yup."

"Jeez you idiot."

"Hey!"
