Paul emerged from between the trees. His russet skin shone under the light of Emily's House, which poured through the open front door and windows. Sam stood on the front porch along with Seth, Jarrod and even Leah, Quil and Embry.

As Paul came closer they noticed the girl in his arms still unconscious, her head hung limply off his arms, rich brown hair covering her features. Her neck was exposed, revealing two distinct bite marks. Paul walked passed his alpha into the home he spent most of his time. As he entered with the girl in his arms he noticed Emily in the lounge with the blonde girl. She had a blanket around her shoulders and a mug in her hands.

Emily noticed Paul and shimmied him into a room in the back. "Lay her down here. Jacob went to call Dr. Cullen, they should be here any minute." Emily spoke to Paul as he gently placed the girl onto the bed.

Paul POV.

"Lay her down here. Jacob went to call Dr.Cullen, they should be here soon." Emily said, clearly worried about these two girls.

*Ofcause doctor leech is coming. How ironic, she's in this condition because of a leech and now another one is coming to fix her.*

I put the girl on the single bed. Emily pulled some blankets over her and made sure she's comfortable. I turned to leave, not looking forward to a run in with Dracula. When I passed the blonde chick she was still in a state. This time Seth stayed with her, neither of them really speaking.

I got outside and everyone suddenly looked at me. "What?" I asked annoyed, walking down the porch to find a spot against one of the pillars. I crossed my arms and closed my eyes, really wishing this shit could be over.

"This is a pack matter now." Sam opened his mouth disturbing my silence. "The conscious girl, we don't know what she saw. As soon as she speaks we'll have to address the matter." He continued. I knew what he meant. The blonde probably saw us wolves and judging by her state,  definitely saw the leech man.

"And as for the other girl..." Sam continued before I cut him off. "If she turns, I kill her." I said, already calling shotgun. "Paul, if he did turn her she would have changed by now. We don't know what exactly he did." Sam said.

"It Sam. Not he, it." I said agitated. I was sick of these fvcking corpses walking around. I'd be happy to put them six feet under where they belong. Suddenly doctor sparkles and Jacob appeared. Not that I didn't get a whiff of the leech's stench three minutes ago. He walkes up and Sam leads him into the house to see to the girl.

*I don't understand how these fvckers can trust vampires. The day I even acknowledge one of them is the day I imprint.*

__________

About an hour later, Dr. Cullen steps out of the house. He removes his bloody rubber gloves sending a smile to Emily.

"She lost alot of blood. It looks as though the vampire meant to drain her body but somehow stopped midway. Maybe he caught the smell of the wolves and decided to flee." The founder of the Cullen cult spoke.

Everyone listened intently as he delivered his conclusion. "She's lucky to be alive, but she needs alot of rest. You might wanna keep her here until she recovers."

Sam nods a thank you to Carlisle and he peacefully leaves. "Let's get inside." Sam says to the rest of the pack and everyone follows him into the cabin. Paul being the last to enter stands one side away from the group as usual.

Everyone slowly sits down around the lounge keeping thier eyes on the blonde girl who seemed to now notice thier presence. Sam looked at Emily for assurance before he spoke, trying to keep his voice calm as if not to scare the girl.

"What is your name?" Sam asks and was quickly answered. "Caryn." The girl spoke clearer than anyone had expected. "You're not from around here, are you?" This time Emily spoke noticing how stern Sam seemed to come across.

"N-no, my friend and I travel alot. We've only been here for a few days." Caryn said. The pack listened intently, curious about the two girls.
"What were you girls doing in the woods?" Sam asked this time again. He sounded like a father scolding his daughter in front of all her friends. No answer came from Caryn and it seemed as though she recalled something and suddenly started to panic.

Emily moved closer to Caryn and rubbed her shoulders. "Hey, it's okay." Emily whispered trying to soother her. Seth, Quil and Embry sat with thier heads bowed. All three kids feeling bad for what the girl went through. Leah, Jarrod and Jacob offered more matured looks as they were more angry that a leech had gotten under thier noses.

At this point Paul had grown bored with the whole sympathy situation and decided to check on the brunette. Paul pushed the door open slowly, allowing himself to relax after such a tiring night. He stood there, looking at the Brunette he hadn't come to learn the name of.

Paul took in the information he had just heard about the girls and wondered where they were from. The soft features of the girl before him caught his eye. Paul hadn't noticed how red and swollen her lips were before. He hadn't noticed her tiny nose and soft cheeks. The wolf in him egged at him to step closer.

Some part of Paul longed for the stranger he didn't know. His wolf wanting full control at that moment. Before Paul even realized it, he was standing up against the bed. His hand lifted carefully and his fingers brushed her temple before entering her hair. Paul's fingertips welcomed the softness and warmth of her skin. Her heartbeat calming him down to a level he never felt.

Paul could not understand what he was feeling or why this girl felt so different, so soothing, so right. This angered Paul. He was confused and fvck did he hate being confused. Paul stormed out of the room shaking every feeling off him and only accepting anger.
