Chapter 1: First Impressions Always Last

It was a normal day in the town of Nuttingham. Shelby, Adri, and Katie were all sitting in there room together. Adri was writing her story, Katie was playing The Sims, and Shelby was reading a book on Cheat Codes for Far Cry 3. A knock on their door was all it took for their life to be turned upside down.

The head of the church had come into their room to speak with them about something important. It had to deal with their stay at the church.

"Ladies, I must speak with you about an urgent matter," the head preistess said as she entered the girls' room.

"Can't it wait till dinner?" Adri asked, obviously annoyed at having been interrupted during her writing process.

"No, it cannot Adrianna," the preistess stated firmly, causing the girls to slowly drop what they were doing, hoping they weren't in trouble.

"What is it?" Katie asked, standing up as her game saved.

"You are being moved to a new home" she stated

"What?!" all three girls shouted simultaneously.

"What do you mean? Is the church getting a remodel or something so they have to get us out for a while or are you kicking us out?" Shelby asked, slightly scared for what was happening.

"Neither, a good friend of mine has decided to let you live with them as me and the other priests go on a business trip," the elder stated evenly.

"How long till we leave?" Adri asked.

"Half an hour"

"Thanks for telling us this ahead of time...not" Katie said as she powered off her computer and began to pack.

"See you soon girls" The head priestess said as she walked out of the door, leaving the girls to pack in peace.

The Head Priestess left Adri, Katie, and Shelby to pack for their move. What kind of business trip would have them be moved out of their one and only home? At least they would be rid of this stupid church and its many MANY rules. If only they knew what kind of place they'd be going to. After their half hour was up, the girls had all their belongings packed. Everthing they owned was thrown into the back of a black car. They were nudged, although it was more like a shove, into the car and the door was shut. They didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to their old lives.

Adri tried asking the man about the place but the driver stayed silent. Shelby decided to stare out the window, Adri put on her headphones and listened to some music, and Katie leaned her head on the window and fell asleep. The car ride was quite long. It took about 5 hours by car. Once they arrived at the manor, their belongings where put on the ground. They were kicked out of the car, landing on top of each other. The driver sped off never to return again. Adri, Katie, and Shelby looked confused at each other then they focused their attention to the house.

"Why the fuck am I here again?" Katie asked, rubbing her eyes tiredly.

"We're staying here until the Head priests come back from a business trip," Adri said.

"Why did no one else have to come here?" Shelby pondered as she looked off into the direction the car had gone.

"Yeah?! Why didn't that bitch Meredith get sent here?!" Katie asked, talking about her long time rival from the church.

"I don't know..." Adri replied.

"Smells like rain," Katie said as she lifted her head up to the gray sky and sniffed the air.

"OH CHEESUS NO!" Shelby shouted as her eyes darted up to the sky.

"TO THE PORCH!" Adri yelled, beginning to race towards the covered porch.
