Our Broken Worlds chapter 9

Nico's POV

Once we stepped off the elevator and made it to our rooms, Leo flopped on the bed and beckoned me to come over. Right about now, the soft plush bed was my main priority anyway, so when Leo waved his hand I was over there in less than two seconds.

I pulled off my shoes and curled up in Leo's lap as he rested against the headboard.

"Nico, this has been the best date ever. I can't even explain how much I love you" Leo said kissing my cheek.

" Thanks,Leo. And I love you too. " I turned around and kissed Leo full on the lips and felt him smile into the kiss.

Honestly, I couldn't be any happier. I don't know what I'd do if I ever lost Leo. I frowned deeply as all of these thoughts came to me.

I'd probably go insane, or maybe I'd start cutting again, or try to kill myself. I wouldn't be able to live through the pain of knowing the person I cared for the most was gone. And I already messed up once, and I can tell you it won't happen again.

Leo pulled back with a worried expression on his face," Nico what's wrong? You stopped. "

Did I? I didn't even notice. I hung my head so my bangs would cover my eyes. " Nothing. I just-"

Leo lifted my chin and moved my bangs out of the way with his thumbs. "Nico please tell me." Leo pleaded.

I sighed shakily. " Please don't leave me,Leo. "

" I won't, mi amor. I will never leave." Leo said,then placing a kiss on my neck.

Leo intertwined our fingers together and stroked my hair with his hands. We fell asleep in each others arms and I was satisfied beyond measure.

Leo's POV

I woke up in the middle of the night and sat up quickly. Nico was still in my arms and I clutched him tightly. My nightmare about him was too....much. All of it. I can't lose him. Ever. I cried until there were no more tears left. And then washed my face so Nico wouldn't notice when he woke up.

"Back to camp?" Nico asked playing with his skull ring, while his feet were crossing each other on the table. "I'm really not ready to go back."

" I know." I said placing my feet on a chair and tying them up. "But, we can't stay gone too long. "I switched to the other foot then ran my hands through my hair.

" I know Leo. But they don't even want us there. And I'm not willing to take the risk if it means seeing Hazel's face again. I'm trying to stay my distance." Nico whined.

" And that's what we'll do. " I said.

Believe me, I'm not ready to go back to camp either. But I quote Chiron's words on this: ' Mr. Valdez, we will have to resort to extreme matters if I see you leave camp again without permission. We can not do anything to protect you if you refuse to stay on camp grounds.' So yeah. We need to go back.

" Fine. " Nico said rolling his eyes and plopping his feet down hard on the floor.

We went down stairs to turn the key in and walked outside. Even though it was about 9 am, people were still out and about. It wasn't much of a crowd just....a bit more than expected.

I followed Nico to an alley close by and took his hand. I felt myself get lighter and a little nauseated. I don't even see how Nico does this all of the time.

I couldn't really see anything except for a blur of bright white lights. And it kinda just felt like my spirit left my body. If I had a body I would've shuddered right now.
