Darkness was what most people feared... or maybe it was whats in the darkness that they feared, either way darkness was all around us, especially for those of us with a noble bloodline. Darkness was my everything... my soul, my feelings but most of all my heart and as I grew older my mind too became shrouded in the mist. It all began at the edge of the earth almost 3 centurys' to this day.
Chapter 1
King's way 1982
The sinister streets of kings way were crowded full of bustling people, busy getting their grocerys while the day was young. How good it felt to step into the sun's warmth and the fresh morning air, as I made my way down to the usual shop.
I walked down the long twisting cobble stone streets toward the shops in the main part of kings way, as I got to Mrs. Satchers shop I saw a young boy dressed in rags, he was sat outside the store With his hat tipped downwards, 'he must be a child left behind by the Revolutions' I thought distastefully to myself.
As I walked past I dropped a few notes into the hat, before entering the shop. "Mrs. Satchers the usual please" I said in my usual damp tone, I wasn't being rude... I just never really... you know... felt much emotion before, so the dullness in my voice was my major downfall. I couldn't even make friends because of it, in fact now I think about it my elder brother was really the only true friend I had.
"Here's your usual order" said Mrs. Satchers as unfriendly and grumpily as usual. I grabbed the order and gave her the correct amount of money for it as I always did, before turning 180 degrees on my heel towards the door of the shop. I pulled the handle and opened the door, stepping out onto the pavement and releasing the door from my grasp allowing it to swing shut freely.
As I set off down the street towards the mansion me and my brother live in, I noticed I was being followed, but... 'who was it?' I kept asking myself.
I finally arrive at the large black steel gates, home sweet home... well I guess not, Vicount Manor was hardly a place anyone would even dream about wanting to return to. The pitch black manor was shrouded in darkness and looked rather depressing, even the scenery around the manor was bleak and lifeless. The courtyard had a large fountain in the center but the honor it once had vanished long ago, the beautiful fish died, the blue shimmering water had turned sour and green, even the flowers had turned into bundles of gloopy green moss. It was a desolent place in it's entirety.
The huge iron gates clanked and squeaked most unpleasantly as they opened up, beckoning me into the courtyard. I remembered someone was following me, but before I realised the stalker was in front of me, clad in black, With a huge hood covering his face... "who are you?" were the words which just managed to escape my mouth.
