Tonight I'm Getting Over You

MARCH, WEEK 2 - 5 MONTHS 3 WEEKS

"Our next guest, has been a guest on my show many times and is one of my favorite guests. I would like to welcome Nicki Minaj." Pills N' Potions starts playing and Nicki walks onto the stage over to where Ellen was standing. Nicki waved to the audience before hugging Ellen and sitting down.

"So your butt is trending all over the net again because of your new music video Anaconda." Nicki smirked at Ellen knowing how right she was. "Have you seen the memes that people have been making?"

"Actually I did. The one I found funniest is the spiderbarb where they just rotated the picture and had me hanging from spider webs." Nicki and Ellen talked a little more about other stuff and how her new perfume 'Onika' was just released.

After getting out all their jokes and ridiculousness, that only happens when the two of them get together, things got serious. "So, people have been saying that you aren't cut out to be a parent considering you had to go to court for attempted rape against Demetria. I know you haven't responded to that yet. So, as of now, do you have a response?"

"I only got the entire story after the incident. From what I understand, the boy had shown interest in Demi since the beginning of the school year but she was warned by her friends not to hang out with him. He has a reputation of using women.

"When the baby was born, Demi's grades started to fall so her teachers and I decided that she should have a tutor who turned out to be Jace. If I had known what Jace was capable of, I never would have let him be her tutor. I have talked to Demetria and we decided that if we had been more honest with each other, this probably would never have happened. So, our family goal is to be more honest with each other.

"People can say what they want about my family but what matters is what I believe and what Demetria believes. It wasn't her fault or my fault that that boy attempted to rape her but his own. He chose to mess around and look what he got for it. A life sentence in jail. It's not my responsibility to teach him right from wrong. But it is my responsibility to teach those lessons to my son and Demetria."

The audience clapped their hands intensely as Nicki concluded her speech. "I have to commend you on your strength and holding true to your beliefs. I mean, some people would crack under the pressure and be spreading hate any means they can but you seem to be keeping your cool."

"I have to be strong right now Ellen. Demi is in a vunerable position right now and I can't fell weak while she's trying to deal with this. I have to be there for her and put aside whatever resentments I have to make sure that she's okay." The audience clapped again.

Ellen and Nicki talked some more, there was a commercial break before the two concluded and Nicki drove the hour and a half back to her place where Demi was sleeping when she returned.

Demi had been sleeping in for the past three months. She didn't attend school but Mikaelah brought thae homework over everyday. Nicki new that Demetria was a bright girl so she didn't worry about the girls studies.

Demetria also saw a therapist once a week to help deal with the whole incident. Nicki talked to Mikaelah's mother and she made the girl see a therapist as well. Nicki was glad that even if Demi didn't want t talk to the therapist, she could still talk to Mik since she had been in a similar situation. Nicki believed that it was a good thing that the two girls were in the same age range.

The only thing that did discourage the adult was the fact that Demi didn't want to talk to Damian or any of her other friends. Not even the ones from New York. They all called or visited to check on her but Mikaelah was the only one who the girl would talk to.

Nicki understood what Demi was going through. She just didn't know how to help her deal with it. All she could hope for right now was that the young girl would slowly start letting her friends in again.

MARCH, WEEK 3 - 6 MONTHS

"Demi, Drake and I are going out, would you mind watching Robbie for the evening." The girl nodded in response before her guardian left the room leaving the baby in his carseat beside her bed.

Robert slept for three hours before he started crying making Demetria have to get out of bed. Based on the different cries babies make for different resons, she knew that Robbie wasn't hungry and he didn't need a diaper change. In fact, he just wanted attention which Demi was surprised to say that she didn't mind. She had been ignoring everyone except Mikaelah and Nicki for the past three months. Even when Robbie would occasionally crawl into her room and try to get her to play with him she would ignore him and just face the other way.

But today she was glad to spend time with Robbie. Even though he couldn't do much right now but attempt to sit up and end up falling on his side she still really enjoyed his company.

Nicki and Drake returned during this time. Drake went to go make himself a snack while Nicki went to tell Demetria of their return. She only opened the door a crack when she heard the girl laugh while playing with the baby. It was the first time she had laughed let alone smiled since the incident. Nicki knew that this was the beginning of the healing process for Demetria.

So on my bday which was Sept 3, I said I was gonna dedicate this chapter to my momma because if it wasn't for her I wouldn't be on this site writing for you guys. My momma is such an amazing person. If when I have a bad day and I take it out on her she still loves me the same. Even when I'm mad disrespectful, she still loves me the same. She's gonna be there for me when I need her even if I don't wanna talk and her view me isn't going to change no matter what. Some people ain't got mother's like that and for those of you who don't, you should still know that you are loved no matter what by other people such as friends and other family and even me. Yes, it's not the same but it's still a lot of love :)
