Billy's POV

I keep walking down a street, looking for that house Kelli described. The numbers 309.

This area I'm in makes me more nervous, the air is filled with nicotine, and odorful homeless citizens, staring at me as I go past them.

I turn left, noticing this street is completely empty, no cars parked around, not even a single person walking here other than me.

Kelli did mention a vacant street...

I pivot my entire head around to see if the store, Lila's Jewelry was around.

The words were a little small to actually read but I squint my eyes, and focus on the fine print.

Lily's Jewelry store.

I waste no time and start running as fast as I can looking for the house number. My thirst of water kicks in.

My shoulder throbs by the second, but I ignore the pain, I have to.

But my shoulder's pain demands to be felt, to be the center of attention, causing me to slow down.

I stop in front of this house, its a tall but old one, the white paint is peeling off the wood. I brace myself for this moment.

Looking up, towards the door I see the number 309, noticing the 9 is close to falling off.

Examining every side of the house, there's a fire escape that leads up this room. Its really high up.

I start climbing the fire escape, hearing a creak each time I walked up each stair.

The window in front of me as boarded up, as if someone didn't want to be seen.

Kelli must have been staying there.

The cardboard wasn't that protected over the window, I pull it off with good arm.

Now there's cardboard coming from the inside. I kick it hard, hard enough for it fall forward.

Kelli was standing there, being held by this man and three other guys sitting down, watching them, and me, looking scared

She was covered in bruises, and a smear of blood revealed itself near the upper left of her forehead.

I could tell they hurt her badly, parts of the sleeve from her shirt stay on her wrists, as some are scattered around the floor. Her bra was there, out in the open, and she has worn black shorts, the same ones she had on last night.

But...the phone call. I thought they shot her.

Without hesitations or a plan, I jump into the room and immediately tackle the three men first.
