Luke ends up staying again for dinner that night and shows me how to make a fancy meal out of Ramen noodles.

We sit on my bed with plates in our laps.

"So what do you do for fun?" I question him, it must suck having to live here and work for his father.

He shrugs, "Bonfires."

"Bonfires?"

He shoves some ramen in his mouth, "Yeah, bonfires. This place isn't as secluded as let on it."

I furrow my brows, "What do you mean?"

"If you pass by this place and drive another thirty minutes it'll take you to a small gather in the woods where a bunch of kids that live in surrounding towns go and get drunk." He smiles like it's some big secret that he knows and I should be impressed.

I shake my head at him, I remember being that young. It wasn't that long ago but I've definitely matured since I was his age.

"Maybe you could come with me, they're getting together tonight, I wasn't going to go but we should ." He offers.

To make him happy, I agree to go.

~

"Are you sure we're in the right place?" I ask, looking through the tinted windows from the passenger side of Luke's car.

I didn't even know he had a car.

"Yeah, just be patient. It's over there." He points.

He drives his car off the road and onto a dirt pathway entering some trees.

The closer we get the louder music and voices become. There's a glow from the fire in the center. Luke parks the car in a row with several others.

"Let's go talk to people." He says. I follow behind him. We walk through the crowd of people, all holding red solo cups. There's at least two-hundred people here.

He introduces me to his friends, one boy is named Jack. He has blonde and brown hair, it reminds me of a skunk. Another boy, named Alex, has darker brown hair and is wearing a hoodie, even though it's hot out.

"Well, now that we all know each other, I'm going to get a drink." Luke states.

I start a friendly conversation with Jack and Alex. "So, does this whole thing happen every week?"

Alex nods, "Just about. The people vary but there's a few of us that show up pretty much every time." Jack chimes in, "Will you be joining us here next week?"

I shake my head, "Oh, no, probably not. I'm really busy, I just came out with Luke this one time."

Jack frowns a little but nods. Alex turns to Jack and says "Babe, will you get me something to drink?" Jack smiles and rolls his eyes before walking off the same direction Luke did a few minutes prior.

"So what do you do for a living?" Alex asks.

"I'm a writer, I'm actually writing a book right now." I explain. I hope being an author doesn't make me seem pretentious.

"That's cool, dude. I'm a senior this year, but I'm hoping to major in literature in college next year." He smiles.

I tell him about my college experience before he seems to get bored so I change the topic, "How long have you and Jack been together?"

Alex giggles, "Four years. How long have you been dating Luke?" He tilts his head to the side.

My eyes widen and I raise my eyebrow, "Oh we, we're not, I'm not, we aren't dating."

Alex looks embarrassed and mouths an "oh".

Luke and Jack join us shortly after, I thank god.

"Drink this." Luke hands me a cup and he already smells like alcohol himself. I take it but decide it'll be the only one I drink since I'm the responsible adult here. So responsible.

I watch Luke more than I actually participate in anything. Alex keeps giving me funny looks and Jacks too busy handing Luke more cups to notice.

I watch as he gets more and more drunk, he becomes louder and more giggly. I stand by the fire as he talks with people and eventually he starts to make his way over to me, "Ashhhhhton, hey."

"You're drunk." I state.

"Psh, maybe you're drunk." Luke laughs.

He tries to walk closer to me but he trips, I stumble to catch him and we both almost fall. Alex rushes over, "Do you want me to help you carry him to your car?"

I nod and Alex and I place our arms around Luke, walking him back.

"Watch your head." Alex shuts the passenger side door and turns to me, "I'm no expert or anything but I think that boys got a crush on you."

I nervously laugh, "No way."

Alex throws his hands up, "I'm just sayin' what I think."

I bite my lip and he wishes me a goodnight before walking back towards the crowd. I get into the drivers side. I search for my keys before realizing this isn't my car, "Luke, do you have the keys?"

"Maybe." He slurs and drunkly smirks.

I sigh and reach over into his pocket for the keys, his eyes go wide and he says "You could at least buy me dinner first." He then proceeds to laugh at his own joke.

I ignore it as I start the car and pray that I know which direction to go.

~

"Come on, out the car." I say as I basically carry Luke from the car to my door.

"Why is the tv so loud?" He asks. "There's no tv." I explain.

I lay him down on my bed and take his shoes off, setting them neatly against the wall. "Who on earth is driving this boat, do they not know how to drive a fucking boat?" He exclaims and throws his hands up.

"Shut up, you're not on a boat." I hold back my laughter.

I start to walk towards the upstairs, I'll find a way to sleep up there. Luke speaks up though, "Well, where are you going? I can't sleep in this bed alone."

I turn around and raise an amused eyebrow, "And why can't you?"

"Because it's just far to big." He says like I should already know.

I stand there for a moment, contemplating what I should do. I mean, I'd much rather sleep in my own bed and if he doesn't mind I really shouldn't argue.

I take my shirt off and get under the covers trying to keep as much distance between us as possible, my back towards Luke.

I'm only in bed for a few minutes when I feel all the cover being ripped off my body and pulled to the side, I roll over to confront Luke. "If-" my sentence is cut off by hot, drunk lips pressed against my own. I kiss back, like the responsible adult I am.

:)

(A/N) Wellllll. I'm sorry this took forever, but I'm sure you'd all rather wait a while and have better written chapters than me just try and throw something together in a short time. As always, I hope you liked this chapter, I'm still not sure if I'm pleased with it. COMMENT :).
