The Train

Josie's pov

It was my first day at Salvatore and i was super stoked.

I was super excited to learn more about magic, but as

always Lizzie was only focused on how she would

become popular. Don't get me wrong I love Lizzie so

much, but she is always only interested in being cool,

or fitting in.

Lizzie was sitting on the seat next to me. She was doing her

makeup while I was painting her nails. I don't especially like

helping her get ready, but what else is there to do the train is

slow and there was still a few hours left.

We were halfway there by now and my stomach

was doing what I could only imagine as back flips while I

thought about the adventures to come.

"I wonder when I'm gonna get a boyfriend? Hopefully soon, I

mean like yeah it's sad and all that i had to break up with chase,

but he was dead weight anyways." Lizzie started to go on one of

her pointless rants about her love life, so I decided I needed a break.

"I'm gonna go get something from concessions." I said while standing

up "want anything?"

"No I don't need to be bloated on the first day. There's gonna be cute

guys there!" she squeals.

I step out into the hallway and immediately I am met with a boy running

down the train car. As he passed me he grabbed my money out of my

hands and took off.

"Hey!" I scream as I chase the boy. He rounded the corner and I see him

get knocked off his feet and fly into the wall. I rush forward and a girl with

dark raven hair was smirking at me. i stopped and looked at her she was so

 beautiful.

 It was like I was in a trance I couldn't

look away from the girl her hair was in a messy bun with a few strands

hanging loosely out of it. She was wearing a crop top with jeans and a

flannel tied snugly around her waist. I guess I studied her longer than

I should have because I was brought out of my thoughts by her clearing

her throat.

"Sorry we just are playing a game to pass time. We didn't mean to disturb

your day." she said with a laugh and my heart swelled at the sound.

"Oh no problem, your friend kinda stole my money though." I smiled. She

turned to the boy sitting on the ground and picked up my money that was

caught on his jacket. The boy was laughing and holding his head while the

girl mumbled for him to stop being a dumbass.

The raven haired girl handed it over to me and our fingertips brushed together.

It was like someone just shocked me, electricity ran from her hand into mine

,and it was a feeling i never felt before.

"My apologies..." she waited for me to say my name and i seemed to be frozen.

"I- I'm uh Josie, Josie Saltzman." she seemed to notice my anxiousness and her

mouth formed a smirk.

" I'm Penelope Park, that's MG." she smiled at me and my stomach squirmed

with butterflies.

I went to say something but before we could the train came to a halt. A man spoke

over the speakers

 "All students go back to your cabins immediately! Teachers report

to the hallways and be ready to fight." My face went blank and i turned to go back to

my cabin but a hooded man busted through the window blocking my way. Penelope

grabbed my hand and pushed me inside her cabin as she shouted a spell at the man

causing him to fly into the wall. MG rushed into the cabin almost knocking me down

in the process.

"oh my god Josie I'm so sorry" he said as he steadied me. I looked back at Penelope

who was about to jump into the cabin when a huge piece of wood flew her way

knocking her to the ground. "Holy shit Peez!" MG screamed as he rushed out into the

hallway picking her up. He ran back in and set her on the bed. Penelope was bleeding

from a wound on her head and there was more blood on her arm MG held the door shut

and I heard teachers yelling from outside.

"MG get someone!" I screamed but he stood there staring at the blood on my hands and on Penelope. I pushed him out of the way and opened the door as a teacher ran past. "Help please she's hurt!" I whisper and the woman turns back and runs inside.

"Holy mother of God! What in the hell happened?" she says and I explain everything.  She started on a spell as I looked at MG he was still standing where I left him, but now a hungry look emerged from his eyes. He stepped towards Penelope and I saw fangs pop out of his mouth.

Shit he's a vampire
