Chapter 1

"Ofa! Ofa" I hear my mother's voice screaming my name from a distance.

I look at the clock where it signifies that it's almost 4pm. "Damn...already" I can't believe how long I slept, I remember getting home from work and heading straight to bed.

"My goodness, stop yelling! I'm coming, I'm coming... I don't even know why you're calling me when all the girls are there to do whatever you need done" I groan feeling so annoyed that I have to get out of bed.

My name is Ofa Latu, I'm 18 years old a full blooded Tongan, fair skinned complexion. I was raised in a typical Tongan family making sure I had gotten a piece from my mother's gold ring melted and drilled in between my teeth before my 18th birthday. I am 6"0 with hair that is long and wavy and cascades beautifully down my back. I have an hour glass figure with curves all in the right places, not to be tooting my own horn but I can't help but flaunt the fact that I have a beautiful lean but slim figure. I am the oldest of six girls and me being the oldest girl in my family, I am practically royalty. It is known in the Tongan culture the oldest female in a family doesn't have to do anything and I mean anything, so to say I always get what I want is an understatement.

I stumble out of my room, dragging my feet against the carpet and rubbing my still tired eyes. As I head down the hall to the lounge where I know my mum is judging by the time, she's probably already on the couch waiting for her favourite TV series 'Home and Away'. I honestly don't even know why she likes that programme so much. Maybe because it's more interesting than her own life. I chuckle at the thought. Then again, being a housewife 24/7 probably isn't that exciting. What would I know, right?

As I get closer to the lounge I almost miss the sound of someone knocking on the glass of our living room door, so instead of attending to why my mother called, out of curiosity I head straight for the front door.

When I open the door I am faced with the most beautiful light brown eyes I have ever seen staring back at me. The face unmistakably very familiar. I take a closer look, a light brown eyed 6"2 Male, his head of black hair looks like he has two jars of hair gel to hold it down. He is wearing a light blue button down shirt that has yellow and red Frangipani flowers printed down the right and 'Tupenu' a Tongan male formal Lava-lava wear. I rub my eyes.

My heart literally skips a beat and I feel light headed as I take in the sight of my boyfriend Tasi and his Parents behind him on our front doorstep. I instantly grab the door to balance myself from falling over and embarrassing myself. As shocked and surprised I am but his smile alone removes any emotion trying to take over right now. This is the smile that has gotten me through the last 10 months, the smile I will literally do anything to see and the smile that has never failed to comfort me. I could leave this world today so happy to know that his smile is mine.

"Babe, you gonna let us in or what?" Tasi says to me with a smirk on his handsome face obviously amused by my stunned reaction. After minutes of wondering whether what I am seeing is real, I once again hear mother's voice calling me, quickly I am brought back down to earth, remembering the people who are standing before me. I can see through the smile plastered on Tasi's face and can see what looks to be fear or nerves hovering behind his stunning eyes. I laugh for a moment and quickly gesture for them to come in.

My thoughts are all muddled at the moment, I have no idea why he's at my house. Why would he be here and with his parents, seriously? What on earth is going on? I am extremely sure we agreed that we were both going to have this weekend each to spend with our families. Why? Why? Why?

I am caught off guard and instantly brought back to reality when I almost close the door in Amelia's face. Tasi's younger sisters Amelia and Jacinta come through the front door with many bags full of groceries followed by Tasi's older brother Daniel and another guy I haven't seen or met before holding large boxes covered in foil. Whatever is in those boxes is making me hungry, with the smell of pork drenched in soya sauce and a hint of ginger filling my nostrils, that is definitely pork I know it is, two large cooked pigs. WOW. Another two guys also follow in with a bag of Taro and a box of corned beef.
