"We're never so vulnerable than when we trust someone - but paradoxically, if we cannot trust, neither can we find love or joy."
**
Mikey stared at Rachel's innocent face, watching her eyes slightly flutter as she dreamed. She had a small, sleep motivated smile on her silky smooth lips, but tears still stained her rosy red cheeks. He ran his fingers through her soft light brown hair, and pressed his lips to her forehead. It was taking everything in him to not jump out of the bed and find Chase, to beat him into the ground and scream at him at the top of his lungs, but he knew it wouldn't help Rachel, if anything, it would make it worse. He knew if he didn't tell someone though, Rachel never would. He looked at the clock and sighed as he got up quietly, not to disturb Rachel in her mindless state, and he slowly walked down the stairs and greeted his mother in the kitchen.
"Are you sick?" She asked when she saw her son enter the doorway, "It's7:30 in the morning!" She laughed softly, and Mikey managed to crack a smile as he sat at the Island in the middle of the kitchen.
"Rachel came over in the middle of the night last night... well she's still here actually, sleeping," he coughed slightly, looking down and playing with his fingers.
"If you're gonna tell me you two had sex, I don't need to know. She's gonna stay innocent in my mind, I don't need to know my son took that innocence away," she raised an eyebrow and Mikey shook his head, blushing.
"Rachel was almost raped again last night. Or was. I don't know. She could barely form a sentence when she got here and eventually she just passed out after I fixed her head. Which that leads me to believe she barely remembers what happened," he looked up at his moms shocked face, and bit his lip.
"Well she needs to tell the cops," his mom demanded, and Mikey nodded.
"I know she does, but I think they need to take her out of school. Have her do online or something. I can stay with her, I want to stay with her," he stopped for a moment as his mom listened, and sat up straight, "Or I could go to school with her and quit homeschool."
"Are you serious?" She laughed at him, continuing to cook, but when he said nothing, she stopped, "You going to school? I mean... with all those people? You're not just Mikey anymore, you're Mikey Fusco. Everyone knows who you are, you would have less privacy than you do now," She stated. Mikey shrugged and walked back up the stairs.

Rachel's eyes slowly opened, and she breathed softly, her head beginning to throb as she sat up and looked around the room for Mikey. She shrugged softly and walked into the bathroom, smiling softly when she saw a Toothbrush with her name on it. She then quickly combed through her hair with Mikey's comb, and gently put it up in a messy bun, trying to avoid the gash in her head that was still pounding with pain. She walked out of the bathroom and looked around for Mikey once more before slipping out of the smothering dress and quickly hiding under Mikey's blankets again just as he walked back in the room.
"Morning," he managed to smile walking up to the bed and crawling under the blankets with Rachel, but he raised an eyebrow when he saw her dress on the floor, "You doing okay?" He asked softly, slowly moving his arm around Rachel's waist and pulling her closer, his thumb lightly stroking her bare stomach.
"How come I'm not scared of you?" She whispered softly as she felt his arm move around her, but she was no longer scared of him. She felt safe with him. Mikey peaked at her, a smile forming on his lips.
"Maybe because you know I would never hurt you," he moved her closer to him, holding onto her tightly and her body melted with his, she could breathe with him. Actually breathe for once. He had proven to her that she could trust him, and even though that scared her to death, she knew, just like he had said, he wouldn't hurt her.

Yee.
She's finally trusting him.
Sorry this was lame.
