“Thank you, Ms!" The class stood up and chorused.
Ms. Williams walked out, and chaos broke out.
Rachel rushed over to Sky's place. “I did it!”
Sky raised an eyebrow. “You knew all along?”
“Well, yes.” Rachel admitted. “Sorry. I accidentally overheard Ms. talking to Mrs. Murphy...” Mrs. Murphy was the principal.
“Congrats, Dare!” somebody sneered. Rachel whirled around. “Stephanie Green,” she said coldly, “Why? You jealous?”
“Oh!” Stephanie said in mock hurt, “I'm not interested in that losers club.”
Rachel was steaming now. “Losers? Maybe you forgot your brain home!”
Stephanie opened her mouth to reply, but was interrupted by the door opening. Shelly Shone poked her head in.
“Stephanie!” came her whiny, shrill voice. “Time for your audition!” Stephanie was in the singing club.
“Bye, losers!” Stephanie drawled and stalked away.
“What a slut.” Rachel muttered and walked out with Sky and Lily.
