"Annyeong, Mika."
Sungyeon said as she placed their newly bought flower bouquet beside Mika's tombstone in the cemetery.
Jeongyeon stood beside her sister who was sitting down while running her hands around Mika's tomb.
"I'm sorry it took eomma a while to visit you. I am sick, but I never forgot about you. Mothers never do."
"Your aunt Jeongyeon is here." Sungyeon added and looked up at her sister.
"A-annyeong." Jeongyeon felt awkward talking with a nameplate. But deep inside, it was sad to think that her first meeting with her niece was represented by a marble tomb instead of an actual healthy child.
"If she was still alive, she could have loved you lots." Sungyeon said.
"Yeah, me too."
"Jeongyeon-ah."
"Yes?"
"If you get married someday, make sure he's a good man. Understand?"
"Yes, unnie."
Truth be told, Jeongyeon isn't even sure if she wants to get married. After what happened to her sister, it traumatized her too. It showed her how sheltered she is. If it happened to her, she would never recover for sure. But Sungyeon was already a mother by then, and mothers ought to do what they had to do. A woman is the strongest when she's a mother.
"You should go back to school." Sungyeon said without looking at her.
"Get back to your life Jeongyeon.""But unni--"
"I'm sick, I know, and dad's sick too. I know Jeongyeon. But you don't have to sacrifice yourself for us. You have your own life to live. Don't worry about me, I'm getting better. I'll make sure I'll be better, okay?"
"Y-yes unnie."
Silence followed their conversation. Sungyeon looked at the tomb like it's her life, and that she misses it a lot. She also took the time to ponder upon things. Sure, school doesn't seemed interesting at all, but it's the right thing to do.
Jeongyeon's phone vibrated so she looked who texted her.

4:51pm:
Dad is awake.-------------
Nayeon's eyelids feels like concrete falling for gravity. It has been 30 minutes since their discussion but it seems like her brain cells can't keep up already and her eyes are cooperating very well.
"Hey." Jimin nudged her.
"Hmm?" She turned towards Jimin.
"Your notes..."
Nayeon looked down at her notes and it seemed like childrens were scribbling at it. The first two lines were the only ones that can be understood and the rest looked like doodles. A very bad one.
Literature is her first class and stories make her fall asleep. She spent the last 20 minutes fighting it off but it was very difficult.
She just torn the page after a few seconds of staring at it. It made a noise and it was heard through the whole classroom. Everybody looked at her and she just force smiled and did a peace sign.
Meanwhile, Jimin was holding back his laughter all through out.
Finally, after 3 long hours of story-telling, Nayeon's first subject was finished and she's off to her second period. She looked at her schedule and went to Jimin who was still arranging his things in his briefcase.
"Jimin-ssi, where is this?" She showed Jimin her schedule.
"Oh your next subject is Math? Just go out the building, go straight and then there's the gymnasium. Turn left and the first building is your destination." He explained.
"Oh thanks. See you." Nayeon said.
"Bye."
Nayeon was alone again and she was sure she is lost. She passed by the gymnasium 10 minutes ago but she still couldn't find the building. Jimin said left, but the building was for Architecture. She should be looking for a Math building right?
I'm hungry. Nayeon thought.
Her phone vibrated inside her bag. When she picked it up, she saw an unregistered phone number but she accepted the call nonetheless.
"Hello?"
"Oh my god, where are youuu?!"
"Sana-ssi?"
"Get your ass up here. I'm looking down at you." Sana said annoyed.
Nayeon looked up and saw Sana waving at here at the third floor with an annoyed face. It's the second time that Sana was annoyed by her in 3 hours. Nayeon is THAT great.
Sana ended the call so Nayeon ran to her classroom. She found it almost instantly and proceeded inside, her eyes looking for Sana.
"Ugh. Finally." Sana said when she saw Nayeon first.
"Sorry I'm lost." Nayeon said.
"It's okay, at least you weren't late." Sana said and sat down. She also motioned Nayeon to sit at the vacant seat beside her. It seemed like Sana reserved it for her. Sweet.
"By the way, how did you get my number?" Nayeon inquired.
"Duh, connections?"
The class started and then all students became quiet. Nayeon's brain cells were again undergoing into torture as mathematical formulas and theorems were displayed on the board.
Why the hell did the university conduct classes just before lunch? Nayeon didn't know.
Nayeon can't sleep in this class but she did not understand anything either. At least she is at peace when she's asleep. Worst is, the professor keeps on pointing random students to answer questions and thank the heavens there's too many of them to choose from.
Nayeon ended up copying everything she sees on the board to her notebook and she also ask Sana from time to tine about this and that. Still, she could not understand anything.
--------------Later that day, Sana and Nayeon went back to their dorms. They still have classes in the afternoon but their Prof just did their attendance and dismissed the class so they decided to go back and rest. It was Philosophy - another sleepy subject - but Nayeon was glad she and Sana are classmates again.
"Nayeon-ah." Sana called, dropping her bag at the couch.
"Hmm?" Nayeon did the same but a little rashly.
"How was your day? It was fun, right?" Sana said smiling.
"Fun? Ugh. It was the worst first school day ever." She massaged her temples.
Sana laughed at her. Stress was visible in her face yet it was just the first day. Nayeon throwed a pillow at her.
"Stop laughing.""I'm sorry. I can't----"
Sana still laughed and Nayeon laughed soon after.
