Richie's head was resting on his desk, infront of his computer system, Ralf. When his alarm went off, his head plopped up quickly. He must have fallen asleep while working on some coding the night before. He looked around his room, as everything was blurry. WHen he realized that he wasn't wearing his glasses, he felt around his desk, until he found them. He yawned of exhaustion and slowly put the glasses on his face. He turned off his alarm and got ready for school. He walked downstairs.

"Goodmorning, Richie," Irene, his mother, greeted him.

"Morning, mom," he replied back.

Cheryl, Richie's seven year old sister, strolled down the steps. "Goodmorning mom," she said to Irene. She turned to Richie. "Goodmorning, sneak!"

Richie put a smirk on his face. "Goodmorning to you too Cheryl."

Irene handed both Richie and Cheryl their breakfast. "Cheryl, you should try and be nicer to your brother sometimes."

Chery pouted. "But mom," she streched out. "He is a sneak!"

"Cheryl," Irene told her.

Cheryl just rolled her eyes and ate her breakfast.

After breakfast, Richie brushed his teeth and headed out the door. He got on his bike and started riding to school.

Ham, Jeremy, and Alice followed behind him. "Hey Richie," they all said.

Richie turned around for a second while they cought up to him. "Hi, guys."

"That english essay is such a drag. Am I right?" Jeremy exagerated.

"I know right right,"Alice replied. "I hate writing reports."

Richie smiled. "I already finished mine."

"You're kidding me!" Ham sighed. "When?"

"Last night," Richie replied. "And I had some time to work on Ralf too!"

Jeremy sighed. "I haven't even started brainstorming yet."

"I finished that part, I just haven't gotten to the writing portion yet," Alice said, picking up the speed on her bike a bit.

They arrived at Canyon high school and locked up their bikes on the bike rack.

Alice looked at her Swatch. "Oh, I've gotta get to class, I'll catch up with you guys later."

"Oh Alice," Richie said, gaining some courage.

Alice turned around. "Yeah, Richie."

"Can I talk to you?"

"Sure, go for it."

He waiting a second. "Alone?"

"Richie, I gotta get to class."

"Are you foing to the game on Friday?" he blurted out.

"Of course I'm going to the game, I always do," she smiled."Why do you ask?" She had liked Richie for a while now, but never thought that he'd think of her as any more than a friend.

"Umm..." Richie had lost his confidence. "Maybe I'll see you there."

Ham had liked Alice too for a while and blurted out, "well it wont be too hard to find her. SHe'll be sitting next me."

Alice turned to Ham. "I can sit next to who ever I want to." She turned back back to Richie. "You don't even like sports, why go now to a game?"

"Uh..." Richie thought for a milasecond. "To support or school."

"Oh..." Alice said questionably.

The distant bell rang, indicating that students should be heading to their first period class.

ALice sighed, "great, now I'm now late to my class." She ran off into the school building.

"Why does she always need to say she has to leave a minute before the bell rings?" Jeremy asked.

Richie looked at him. "It's 'cause her first persiod class is on the opisite side of the school."

"Oh," Jeremy replied. He started laughing. "What was that all about about anyways ? Ya know, that thing with Alice?" He paused for a second. "Oh, I know you like Alice!" he teased.

"I do not!" Richie said, defending himself.

"Than what was that all about?" Ham asked.

"It was, uh... a friendly gesture."

Jeremy put his hands on his hips. "Sure. Rihcie. Sure." He imitated him,  "it was just a  friendly gesture."

"Oh, shut up," Richie snapped. And with that, he walked off to his class.
