To The Future

Prologue

Percy motioned his 'crew' forward, cringing at the slightest of noises.

"We're far away from the battle now, can we stop sneaking around?" Nico asked, scowling. Percy frowned a little. One would have thought Nico never smiled, but he once did. A lot. Too much, in fact.

"Shh, anyways, we're here at Zues' fist. Can we take a break?" Piper asked, fanning her face. Percy shook his head, then said, "We're almost about to win the game, don't jinx it!"

"PERCY!" His crew whirled around, only to see Grover running toward them.

"Get away from here, and quick!" he panted.

"Why?"

"Just do it! Before-" Something flashed from behind Grover, directly in front of Zeus Fist. A wormhole, completely black, appeared.

"Oh well, so this is goodbye," yawned Clarisse, slashing at tufts of grass with her sword.

"Stay back!" Grover cried out as the wormhole pulled him forward. Percy saw Leo gulp and reach into his toolbelt.

"Okay, I need something that can kill - breathmints. It just had to be breathmints," he sighed, throwing away the box and pulling out a large piece of metal.

"You do know that wouldn't help against a wormhole, right?" Annabeth asked. Percy shrugged.

"It's what we've got."

"GROVER!" Juniper came running into the clearing, holding her dress up above her knees. Grover sighed, then tried walking toward Juniper, but the force of the wormhole pulled him back.

"RUN!" Rachel yelled, having just entered the clearing and seen the sight before her.

"Too late," Leo grunted with a shrug as they all got pulled into the wormhole.

Percy was enclosed in darkness, and all he remembered before he passed out was Annabeth's hand enclosed in his.
