Part 4: Thank you

Everyone had returned to the guild, Lucy was in the infirmary and Levy was helping Mira bandage some of her wounds. Wendy healed her scars but they were so severe that the bandages were necessary.

"Where is Y/N?" Erza demanded.

"Over here Scarlet." You raise your hand in the air tiredly, your back facing her as you sat at the bar.

"You did a wonderful job Y/N. Without you Lucy may not have survived. We thank you dearly." All of the guild bow.

"Oh jeez guys- you don't have to bow and stuff. I only did it because she is your family and I couldn't just let her die like that." You wave both your hands in front of you, a bead of sweat dropped from your forehead.

"I think you're forgetting something." Natsu came out of nowhere.

"You're our family too." He put his hand on your shoulder, showing you his big toothy grin.

The whole guild smiled warmly at you.

"God I love it here." They all laugh at your response.

After you finish laughing and everyone goes back to what they were doing you turn to Natsu. And unexpectedly. You hugged him.
Wrapping your arms around his waist and snuggling your head into his chest. He hugged back almost immediately.

"Thank you Natsu." You mumble into his chest but he hears.

"No problem tiny." He puts his head down, taking in the scent of your hair.

"OOoooOooo~ They like each other~" You both hear Happy say.

"Shut up cat." You mumble grumpily into his chest, still hugging him.

"Make me Y/N~" Happy teases once again.

Your sword appears and you hold it up to his neck. He yelps and runs away. Your sword disappears. What shocked Natsu was you did that without even looking at the cat, your head was still snuggled into his chest but he just chuckled.

"Yo Y/N." He said.

"What?"

"You gonna let go of me?" He chuckles lightly.

"Neveeeeer!" You yell cutely, he looks down at you and smiles, you look up at him and smile back, slowly pulling away.

"Aww. You guys are so cute." Evergreen says.

"You too do indeed look good together." Freed says.

"Oh shut up guys. We're just friends. Right Natsu?" You look up at him.

"Yeah!" He smiles, his fist on fire.

"Okay was the fire really necessary?" You say, raising a brow.

"It was necessary for me so hmph." He crosses his arms and pitted like a baby.

"Evergreens right. You guys do look cute together." You both heard a soft, weak voice and turned around to be greeted by Lucy, her right arm wrapped around Levi's shoulders.

"LUCY!!" The whole guild yells.

After everyone had a little talk with Lucy she looked over at your figure, sitting at the bar, minding her own business and sipping from a bottle of beer.

"Hey Y/N!" She waved, Levi helped take her to the seat next to you before leaving.

"What's up Luce. You feeling okay?" You ask her, turning the chair to face her.

"Yup. Never felt better." She smiled and you returned it.

"I just wanted to thank you for saving me back there. I owe you one." She smiles even brighter.

"No it's okay. You're my family now and what he did to you was despicable. You don't owe me a thing." You pat her shoulder gently before standing up and walking to the guild doors.

"Y/N!" You heard the familiar fire breather yell.

"Wait up. You wanna hang out with me and Happy?" He smiled, hands on his hips.

"Sure." You smile slightly.

"Well since Luce is gonna be out of the game for a while why don't you and I go on that mission together!!" Happy landed on his shoulder.

"Okay. As long as Lucy's okay with it." You look back at her and she nods.

"Okay, lets get going then. We're gonna go ride the train~" you tease Natsu and his face turns green.

"Don't. Mention it." He gags.

"Ew don't puke on me you flame freak!" You step away from him.

"Come on, lets go." You gab his hand, dragging him to the train station.

"Those two remind me of when I was young." Makarov said.

"They sure are a perfect duo." Mira says, smiling.
