From the lineage of royals who are recognized and privileged yet no longer in the position to rule the country, Taehyung is the only grandson in his generation. The only one who can continue the bloodline.
Considered a national treasure, he was over...
"Watch your step okay?..." sir Hoseok gently yet firmly held my hand as he helped me climbed the sturdy, well inclined wooden ladder to a roof of the library, located at the traditional spot of the palace. While walking around, I mentioned that I'm not allowed to leave the palace like the other mistresses. He asked me why but I didn't respond and just smiled. Thankfully he understood me and asked other questions.
When we reached the roof, he asked me to gently step on the roof tiles as we slowly walked to a safe spot where we can sit and look around.

"Waaah..." 😮
He chuckled at my reaction. I stretched my arms wide open and breathed in.
"Its been a while since I've seen a lot of buildings...the city!"
I said, really got excited at the scenery form where we were.
"This is our favorite spot. When we were kids, we'd sneak Taetae out from his piano or whatever lessons and hide here... we would tell stories or just confide sad experiences..."
"So sir Hoseok, you all grew up together?..."
"Sir?? Call me oppa. 😁"
Surprised, not even Yoongi and Namjoon asked me to address them that way. Oppa Hoseok's smile is so contagious and he's very kind. ☺
"You should ask the prince to let you out even once in a while. What about your parents? Were they allowed to visit you."
"No, palace rules... and they live in another city"
"I see..."
"N-no I mean my...my parents are d-dead."
I quickly modified my sentence as I was too comfortable that I forgot about the 'alibi' Yoongi told me to stick with.
For a moment he stared at me...
"Charlie. Are you hiding something?"
"O-oppa?..."
"Well, I was trained to detect simple signs when someone is lying...but Why would you lie about your parents right?...anyway, that may be the reason why they don't want you to get out of the palace. To protect you."
I smiled and placed my hands on my lap. I left Tata at home because Oppa Hoseok told me that it will be troublesome to climb up with me holding him. Worse, I might drop him.
