Summary of Peach Blossoms Debt

Summary *spoilers*

First Lord GuangXu lives an idle life in the Ninth Sky and goes by the name of Lord SongYao. One day, a messenger on Destiny Star Lord's behalf informs SongYao that the Jade Emperor bids SongYao to go to the mortal realm to punish Star Lord TianShu and Emperor Lord NamMing, the latter two immortals are being punished for misconduct. SongYao eventually agrees, although he hesitates at the South Heaven Gate on learning how he should punish the two.

SongYao became (not born) mortal Li SiMing, third son of the Duke of Eastern Prefecture, the body was born dumb awaiting SongYao arrival. The Duke two elder sons are Li SiXuan and Li SiYuan, and two grandsons are Li JinShu and Li JinNing. A Taoist says Li SiMing (on SongYao take over) is actually Star Lord BaiHu (White Tiger) reincarnated, and therefore everyone accept the changes to Li SiMing. Li JinNing however confuses star with spirit, therefore demands uncle Li SiMing to tell him stories of the White Tiger Spirit and other daemon spirits. SongYao settles into his mortal life as the third young master of the Eastern Prefecture.

Soon Destiny informs SongYao that Star Lord TianShu in his mortal reincarnation as Mo RuoYan will pass by this area, and SongYao needs to capture him, make Mo RuoYan falls for Li SiMing and then emotionally torture him. Mo RuoYan is on the run from the Emperor (the mortal one).

Li SiMing waits a whole day and finally captures Mo RuoYan from a bandit's hideout. Li SiMing takes care of Mo RuoYan in his own quarter, losing sleep in the meantime because Mo RuoYan's health is really bad from tuberculosis, neglect and depression. SongYao asks himself, if he is torturing TianShu or himself at present, not only on the ground of his health, SongYao has a crush on TianShu long ago and he knows these feelings are forbidden.

Mo RuoYan's depression leads to the desire to kill himself, once he jumps into the lake to drown himself (one of his many suicide attempts). SongYao jumps in and nearly drown, but luckily the Water Lord in the lake saves both. SongYao regularly gave Mo RuoYan mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to transfer cultivation to heal Mo RuoYan quicker.

One day, the Duke of Eastern Prefecture, Li SiMing's father came home with a guest. The guest turns out to be ZhaoHeng aka Pure Lord HengWen, who was bored and came down to help his friend. Destiny gave Lord HengWen a mirror to check on SongYao in the mortal realm, and obviously can't contain his jealousy. HengWen arrival is in time with the season of blooming peach blossoms, and on seeing his dear, dear friend, fireworks goes crazy inside SongYao's.

Li JinNing also likes ZhaoHeng and said he wants to try mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on him, as he saw third uncle did it to young master Mo RuoYan, but SongYao stops the kid. SongYao also gave Mo RuoYan a bamboo container.

Another day, Destiny tells SongYao that in a few days at night, Emperor Lord NamMing in his mortal reincarnation as Dan ChengLang will rescue Mo RuoYan, and Li SiMing will stab Mo RuoYan that night.

SongYao is anxious to follow the lattice fate scroll, but there was slight alteration last time in the rescue/capture of Mo RuoYan. Nights after nights SongYao couldn't sleep and had to watch around the Eastern Prefecture Mansion.

One night he detects evil energy, he found few daemon spirits around HengWen's quarter. He fought most of them away, except for Furball, who already got inside HengWen's bedroom. SongYao gets jealous that HengWen allows Furball to touch HengWen all over, as HengWen isn't fighting back. Turns out, HengWen lures Furball here to get SongYao jealous. But Furball is now in love with HengWen and promise to cultivate and will join HengWen in the Ninth Sky. Also, Furball said his name is XuanLi.
HengWen kisses SongYao, saying it's just an experiment.

SongYao asks HengWen if he remembers a story he told the latter long ago, and HengWen said yes carelessly. Turns out, when SongYao was a mortal he fell in love with a courtesan, gave her loads of priceless gifts, but she only pretends to love him because she wants his money. She's actually in love with a poor scholar, who later became a minister on passing the imperial exam and marries her. Heartbroken SongYao drank a bowl of wonton noodle soup and ascends to the Ninth Sky, and thus ending his mortal life.
