"Khamarie! Get the fuck up" yells my mom.
I rolled over and look at my phone it's 7:38am. I have two freaking minutes. I sat up and watch as my little brother prances in and out of my room.
"Haha, you got in trouble" he teased, sticking his tongue out and making funny faces at me.
I proceeded to throw my pillow at him and tell him to get out.
Yay, another day of hell at Lincoln Mason Highschool.
I washed my face and brushed my teeth while trying to figure out what I was going to wear. I placed a crop top on my body feeling like i was the baddest thing walking and she walked in. I try to have a high self esteem but she always brought me down. It was never "you look good Marie". It's always some bad shit.
"I know you not wearing that short ass shirt," she laughed, "It barely fits over your rolls" my mom said as she walked out.
I rolled my eyes, went into the bathroom and proceeded to get on the scale. It said 267. I grunted really loudly and stormed out the bathroom. I could have sworn I was supposed to lose 10 pounds this week. Stupid military diet.
I put on some ripped jeans and a semi cropped Tommy Hilfiger long sleeve and my Air Maxes. I went downstairs and waited for my little brother Na'aem to come down so we could go to school.
"I'm surprised Tommy made something that fits you" my mom laughed as she left for work. She normally calls her coworker because she doesn't like driving. I guess they were outside.
It was 7:57 and school started at 8:15 and i was hungry. With mom gone it was just me and Na'aem home alone.
"Hurry up stupid" I yelled up the stairs.
On cue he came down stairs with a nike jumpsuit on.
"Bout time dude, what the fuck was you doing?"
"You already know I got to look fine for the ladies of Lincoln Mason Middle School" he said licking his fingers and running them over his eyebrows. I just shook my head and grabbed my keys.
We walked outside and saw no car. I tried not to stress in front of my brother but some of the things my mom did just took my over the edge at time......just like this. She just did stuff for no reason.
I had to figure out a way for us to get to school. It was now 8:03 and I had to think fast. I called my uncle Khamar. He picked up on the second ring.
"Wassup neicy, Shaun took the car again?" He asked, referring to my mother.
I took a deep breath. "Yeah and me and junebug have to be at school in less than 10 minutes."
"You are in luck because I'm around the corner from the house" he said as I heard his Hemi turn the corner.
"Thank you unc" I said hanging up just in time for him to pull up.
My brother and I hopped in the truck as he proceeded to drop us off at school. He looked at me with a smirk and I just nervously laughed.
