Little Kyungsoo couldn't sleep peacefully, he was kicking his sheets between sleepy little gasps. Anyone who saw him would say that he was having a nightmare. Cold sweat ran down his forehead to his frightened expression with both eyes closed tightly.

From one moment to another, the kid's big eyes opened, letting him see only what his little lamp on his night table left illuminated.

He took his secret weapon, that one which protected him every night. He clutched his teddybear with as much effort as possible. Somehow the seven-year-old boy felt a bit humiliated from sleeping with his teddybear, but that was better than running to sleep with his parents, right?

He felt envious of Jongin, his kindergarten friend, who despite being a year younger than him was the bravest child Kyungsoo knew. With the intention of overcoming his friend, he had tried to sleep with the lights off, without the help of his brown bear, but that definitely was not going to happen. He admitted that he was a cowardly boy and clung more to his bear and the sheets, so he could cover his fear.

«"Hyung, is it true that you cannot sleep well at night?" The shorter and younger asked his big-eyed elder.

"Who told you !?" He looked at his dongsaeng with shame "Yah, sure was Bacon-hyung..."

"So it is true?" He asked again in a worried tone.

"Y-Yes... " Kyungsoo felt humiliated, he already imagined his younger friend making fun of him for being a coward.

"Take it, hyung." He felt the tug of a hand no bigger than his and a ball of cloth and cotton over his palm.

The boy had given him a teddy bear. If he was not wrong, that bear was Jongin's favorite, he always took him wherever he went.

"Jonginnie... This bear is yours..." Said stearing at him feeling kinda guilty.

"I don't need it anymore, but hyung does. Hug him whenever you are sleepy, he will take care of you a lot." Said the child in one of his brightest smiles.»

Kyungsoo used to get bullied at school whenever they could made some scabby comment towards him. Whether it was referring to his chubby cheeks, his huge black glasses over the bridge of his nose, his short stature, and so on, there was always something to bother him about.

The fact that half of high school sees him as a weirdo made him feel bad, he often used to have bad dreams with those subjects. Regardless of being at the age of fifteen, his nightmares were always intense and made him shiver with fear.

I would like to have Jongin's bear. He thought to himself.

He was in a sleepover with several of the few friends he had, including the very adorable fourteen-year-old Jongin. His best friend was thinner and had nice and delicate factions that were often mistaken for a girl's face. He felt again his envy towards that boy.

He was sleeping on the floor, on the same bedspread as the other. They were inseparable, eventually they became so close that they didn't even bother to take a bath together alone.

While Kyungsoo was sleeping, he dreamed of colors, rainbows of all kinds, joy. But no, it would not last long. Those colors were dispelled from his sight in the boy's dream. Everything was turning black, the darkness itself wanted to trap him, take over his existence. He ran, tried to get away from that emptiness that was trying to consume him. His efforts did not pay off, with each step he took, the evil aura pursued him closer. When he least expected it ...

"Kyungsoo-hyung..." just a whisper from Jongin managed to get him out of that nightmare.

With small watery traces in his eyes he watched his best friend look at him with concern.

"Are you feeling ok?" He whispered again in his sweet voice, still similar to a child's one.

"...Can I hug you, Jonginnie?" He didn't know why he had asked such a thing, it must be that he really needed to hold onto something so he wouldn't be so agitated.

The boy, slightly shocked, accepted, approaching his hyung carefully. The arms of both were intertwined between them and on their backs. Suddenly Kyungsoo stopped being nervous, his lungs acting at the rhythm of the calm breathing of Jongin. His heart sounded so subtly in his chest, it was like a soothing lullaby for him.

As soon as he closed his eyes he managed to reconcile the good dream, going back to dreaming of all the colors again.

He returned from the small job, he had been working as a waiter since about seven in the morning. The life of a young man in his twenties was much harder than he had thought as a teenager.

Well, at least he was not alone. In the apartment, the tall and handsome boy who he called his partner received him with no less affection. He even kissed his lips gently to try to de-stress his eldest. The strong arms of Jongin, who now took out ten centimeters of height to his hyung, were surrounding his waist, while the other stood on tiptoe to receive the welcome of his beautiful boyfriend.

Kyungsoo took off his glasses, he was tired, he could have sworn he was about to faint. Luckily he didn't get to such an extreme, he slept in his bed sheltered up to his nose in a comfortable and warm way.

It was strange, Kyungsoo used to dream strange things, but he had never witnessed something like that before.

He was there, everything was white, his clothes were white, the floor was white, the walls and the ceiling too. Wait ... floor, walls, ceiling? In fact, there was nothing there. He was alone, with himself, at the mercy of the dazzling light that ceased his sight.

With difficulty he tried to rid himself of the burning in his eyes as he fled from himself. He did n't know where to run, he was lost and didn't know anything. His breathing began to be heavy, a pair of exhales more and his eyes managed to open in the middle of the night.

Kyungsoo woke up.

With difficulty he saw the figure of his boyfriend and friend from always, was being illuminated by the little light that came from the window to his forehead.

In a low voice he called for him.

"Jongin..." His voice was almost broken, the boy turned around and walked to the bed with an air of concern.

"Yes, hyung? What's wrong?" The short boy shuddered at the low whisper of the younger man.

"Jonginnie, be my teddybear." He suggested, to try to convince the other he raised his hands with innocence, making the other give in instantly.

"Sure, hyung..."

Not only his arms were filled with love, his lips in the same way. Soft rubbing between both mouths expressed the feeling of mutual appreciation, that both loved one another.

Kyungsoo clung to his huge teddybear, feeling his throbbing and going back to sleep peacefully.
