Chapter 4

When we got home I jumped straight onto my bed and layed there, thinking about my future and what it might be. I heard the front door open and heard Alex's voice. I ran into the kitchen and gave him a hug.
"Hey Abby, how was school today?" He asked me.
"It was fine." I told him.
"Alex!!!" Addy ran to him and give him a bear hug. Mom put bowls of ice cream on the table for us and the 5 of us sat down at the table, chatted, and ate ice cream.
"Do any of you have tests coming up?" Mom asked us.
"Yes! No!" We said at the same time. Everyone except me said yes, I said no. I couldn't let Mom know about my math test, because if she finds out I have one she'll ask me for my grade and if I get a bad grade on a test I get in huge trouble.
"Oh..right.. uh actually I have a test, but Abby doesn't" Addy said, remembering that she wouldn't tell Mom about the test.
"But you two have the same classes together, so wouldn't you both have a test?" Mom asked her.
"Uh.. no" Addy said nervously.
"I have a science test tomorrow and I've been studying all day, I think I'm going to Ace it" Alexa said proudly.
"I have an algebra test tomorrow" Alex groaned.
"I'm sure you guys will do great, you always do" Mom smiles "Now, Abby do you have a test or not?"
I sighed. "Yes.."
"Did you study?" Mom asked.
"Yeah.." I lied. I can just study tonight, no big deal.
"Alright, you'll do great on it, I know you will, just next time tell me when you have a test, just in case you need help studying, now all of you finish your ice cream and do your homework" Mom told us. As I was finishing my ice cream, the phone rang and Mom picked up, I put a spoonful of chocolate ice cream in my mouth and looked at Mom's face, it was getting darker every minute, and soon I saw tears in her eyes.
"No..." she cried.
