"You never fail to amaze me.
Every day you do something new that makes me fall for you even more than the day before."
Alya's P.O.V.
Sitting alone in my room, like a loser with a sad life, I watched the clock as it struck twelve and I mentally cursed the boys for being the biggest jerks in the face of this earth. How could they forget my birthday? I could not believe them.
In the next second, the ringtone of my phone fell in my ears, catching my attention and I grabbed it from the side table excitedly, thinking and hoping that it'd be from Liam but it wasn't. That call was from one of my closest friends (Shahid), back in India, and I smiled widely as I answered it.
We talked for a few minutes and meanwhile, I received another call in between. I noticed 'Louise' flashing on the screen of my phone. Bidding goodbye to Shahid, I quickly accepted Louise's call. She wished me Happy Birthday and so did Lux. We talked for almost ten minutes and before hanging up, I requested her not to remind any of the boys about my birthday, to which she agreed. I got a few more calls from my friends mostly from India and it felt fantastic to learn that they all actually waited to wish me until it was midnight in London. I felt out of the world, feeling too special because they all took out time to wish me, despite the time zone differences.
And look at the ones I was counting on; the ones I considered my family, here in London. None of them had called me up, yet.
Liam's P.O.V.
"Guys, once we are inside, please, make sure that none of you makes any kind of noise." I reminded them for the hundredth time as we made the way towards Alya's house after parking our cars at a little distance behind.
"We got it, Payno. Now drop it." Louis huffed, rolling his eyes at me while the rest of the lads let out a muffled chuckle.
"That was especially for you, Tommo." I fired back, raising a brow at him and he held up his middle finger in return.
"Guys enough," Perrie hissed, passing us an exasperated look. Louis and I exchanged a glare before we started to walk again.
The moment the guard of Alya's house noticed us, he quickly opened the gate and watched us with a confused expression spread across his face. Signalling with my right hand, I gestured him to listen to me while the rest of the group hastily made the way towards the main door.
"Don't tell Alya we are here, all right?" I told him and he nodded his head in return but seemed confused. "It's a surprise for her, and don't worry, I've got the extra key," I informed him and he nodded his head again, passing me a small smile.
