Hello, brave reader! It's me, TG! I just wanted to say a thing or two before I go off on this bold adventure.

First off, if you haven't read Bionica: Origins, it's all good. You can either go back and read them in the order I wrote them, or you can stay here and read the series in chronological order. Either way, I think you get the full story experience.

All right, though, in all seriousness.

I was extremely surprised by how well Bionica: Origins was received among readers. I got the idea for the series as my friend Katelyn and I were on a bus to church camp. She had Sharpies in her pocket and we started drawing on each other's skin. I ended up with an elaborate, machine-like left hand, identical to Gayge's in the book. Katelyn and I looked at each other and thought, "This needs to be an anime." And so we did it. We rock-paper-scissored over the name Gayge (I won), she became Siren, and we poked our heads towards the row in front of us to talk to my friends sitting there, Stella Xiao and Autumn Bladen, who became Crescent and Eclipse. We got to camp and talked to Cee Caspian, who became my co-writer as well as Glitch. My long-time friend, "Laski" Burk, became Ratchet. His friend, Noah Woodrow, assumed the role of President Tronyx after demonstrating his villain voice (Thank you, Crispin Freeman.) After the camp was over, we all took on some other production roles, and it looks like things are going well. We hope to start production soon.

When Origins came to a close, I felt like something was lost inside of me. I couldn't write about futuristic battles and impossible loves, and writing my fanfiction just wasn't doing it for me. I knew you (the reader) wanted a sequel, but I had no ideas, and no one wrote in with anything. So I decided to take matters into my own hands. Why not a collection of short stories culminating into a prequel? It seemed like a good idea. So here I am, writing for you.

"Oh, no, Pumbaa. We're going way back, to before the beginning."
