"Come on, hurry up Leanne, we don't have all day!", Katie shouted from the 12th floor.

I waved back, wrinkled my nose at her and made my way with the heavy chest across the lawn to the big swinging door and looked up: "St. Mungo's Academy for Healers of magical Ailments" it said in brass letters above the entrance with an image of a wand and a bone crossed right under it.

A smile crossed my face. This is exactly what I always wanted. The stern face of an elderly woman greeted me in the entry hall. Almost with a scowl she looked up from her papers and right at me, a big owl sitting on a stand right next to her had the same scary expression, almost piercing me with its gaze.

"Name", she bellowed, "a new student I assume".

"Leanne Doyle", I stuttered and looked down.

"Walk to the 12th floor, room 1249, you will share your room with Katie Bell. Dinner will be served in the garden Pavilion at 6pm, everything else will be explained there".

I nodded, this was really a lucky day, I couldn't believe Katie and I would actually be able to share a room. Suppressing a giggle I walked across the hall to some steep, wooden stairs, which were lined with the portraits of old healers and people related to the hospital, many curiously peeking out of their frames and two witches even pointed their fingers at me. Looking back at the big  wooden chest and sighed.

"Locomotor"

My luggage was finally floating again and made it a lot easier to walk up, but when I finally reached the room I was definitely out of breath. The door flung open and Katie almost jumped onto me, wrapping me in a tight hug. I felt blood rushing to my head, my chest tightening and all of my stuff fell back onto the ground with a crashing sound.

"Leaaaaanne, it's been way to long! I can't believe this is really happening now! Us- in the same year and room, I still can't believe it. And look at this place- I mean, come on, at least we got a window", she was grinning from ear to ear.

"Same, I missed you too", I said, smiling as well. "But let go, I want to see the room!"

Another door across the hallway opened.

"What's going on here?"

A tall guy with short curly hair, his skin an umber, dark brown approached us with a mischievous smile on his face.

"Hey, did you just get here as well?", he asked, "and I was hoping for some quiet neighbors".

"Hey, I'm Katie, sorry to disappoint", she chuckled, "as you can see, we just got here. What's your name?"

"Silas. And who are you?", he said looking at me.

"Leanne, nice to meet you."

"Alright, my roommate is not here yet, but do you want to walk to the Pavilion together later, I still have to unpack?"

"Sure!", Katie answered, "Sounds good, let's meet downstairs in an hour!"

Silas turned around and went back into his room.

"He seems like a nice guy", remarked Katie, "I'm so exited to meet the other people. And I wonder which school he went to, I've never seen him at Hogwarts. But wait you still haven't seen our room yet, let's go!"
