Her small heart slammed against her chest so hard it felt like it could break a rib. Her ragged breath released white mist into the air to soon fade away into black. The rest of her body was paralyzed, unable to make any movements other than tremble. Gritting her teeth, she ripped her feet off the concrete pavement, forcing them to turn around and run. Her shadow danced on the stone wall with another one which was gaining on her. Her (e/c) orbs widened in fear when she looked back and she froze in place. Petrified. Her high pitched scream broke the silence of the night and echoed through the alleyways, bouncing off the dimly lit stone walls.

"Let's go, the heroes will be here soon. She's as good as dead," A voice whispers. Although it was dark the voice's partner could tell that they were smiling and with that, the three figures disappeared into the dark.

Another figure ran through the alleyways searching for the cause of the pain filled cry. The bandages flew behind him as he ran forward. Peering through his golden goggles and long dark bangs, he came to a stop.

A small girl lay on the ground, a mop of tangled white hair covered her face. There was a large gash running down her back from the top of her right shoulder all the way down to the left of her tail bone. Blood seeped out the edges of the pale blue fabric, staining everything in its path with a dark crimson. The pro hero checked her pulse and wondered what could have happened while pulling out his phone.

"It's weak but it's still there," He muttered, dialing a number. "Hey this is Eraser Head, I found a kid in critical condition and she needs help right away. Come to my location now." The hero demanded, urgency clear in his voice.

He glanced around, looking to see if the culprit was still nearby. His eyes rested on a pile of dust. It was an unusual amount of dust and with no wind to scatter it, it just sat there under a flickering light. He was in thought for a moment, wondering how it got there but quickly diminished the thought and started to treat the girl.

Aizawa's POV

- A few hours later -

"Aizawa-san?" A nurse says. "You can see her now."

I go into the room and see the white-ette, lying unconscious on the bed. Her matted bangs unevenly framing her face while her small tear stained cheeks glow under the white hospital light.

"She's very lucky that you found her when you did, although the cut wasn't that deep, if she had been left untreated for 10 more minutes she would have died," the doctor informs, looking over at the girl with pity. I just nod and she keeps on talking. "Unfortunately the cut on her back will leave quite a scar. Also, we do not know if this is related but this girl has a weird symbol tattooed onto her left shoulder. She seems to have had it before the incident."

"A symbol?" I ask, curiosity evident in my normally dull eyes.

The doctor pulls down the sleeve of the girl's hospital gown to reveal her shoulder. The symbol was in the shape of a circle with ancient lettering and 3 small diagrams connected with a star shape. It didn't seem like any normal tattoo and why would such a young girl have it?
