The day I finished this book, God showed me true colors of one of my favorite teachers.
I asked him to sponsor the Black History Program, I wanted to start at my school.
He literally told me no, because the white people don't have a history month, so why have one & not the other.
I felt so disrespected, then he goes to say 'we don't teach you about the brown people'
The answer to that is no, we speak briefly on the black people that helped build this country but we don't go in depth.
We're taught the white mans history since we were little kids.
So I say this to say, Black boys & girls, men & women show off you blackness, don't be afraid to show this divided country who you really are.
There is someone fighting for you, just have faith.
