I thought I'd start off with some facts about myself! Maybe we'll have some things in common! But, there are more things about me I'll share later on. But to start off I'll tell you guys about who I am and what I do for a living.
I'm a 23-year-old university student. My major is Music Education with an emphasis in choral music. You may call me Katie, Kate or my full name Kaitlyn. I go to a Christian University. For work, I teach piano lessons to children and sometimes work front desk jobs for extra money just until I get my degree which will be very soon! Now to the facts!
1. I have been playing piano for 17 years so it is my most fluent instrument.
2. I love anime and cosplay! I have some favorite animes but I try not to watch new anime unless I have nothing to do because I'll watch it all day.
3. From looking at my profile you can probably tell I love Michael Jackson and Prince. But, I love other artists too such as George Michael and Mariah Carey.
4. When I'm bored I like to look at gifs of anime guys or celebrities I have a crush on.
5. I'm not a big sweet tooth person. I prefer fruit over chocolate. (It doesn't help I have sensitive teeth either.)
6. I'm very shy in person. I have resting bitch face so I probably wouldn't look very nice if you met me in person, but it is the opposite. I'm pretty polite. (At least I try to be ^^)
7. I have many styles! I'll dress in basically any style depending on the mood. Such as...
*Grunge
*Preppy
*Retro
*Kawaii
*Baddie
*Nerdy
*Vintage
and many more!
8. Some of you may not know but I love to roleplay! For those who don't know what that is I can tell you more about it. It's like writing but between another person. Once you get hooked you won't stop. It's so fun.
9. I have social anxiety if I find an escape route to avoid large crowds or people in general, I will do it. (I used to hide in the bathroom during pep rallies or any other social event in high school.)
10. I love to paint when I'm stressed. Specifically watercolors. My favorite thing to paint is landscapes.
11. I love J-Pop and K-Pop, I also listen to Japanese City Pop on a regular basis. My main genres I'll listen to mostly beside those are R&B, Old School, Jazz, Alternative Rock, and Punk Rock.
12. I like to watch old cartoons such as Hey Arnold, Fairly OddParents, Doug, Rugrats, Angry Beavers, Ren and Stimpy, and others. My all-time favorite is Hey Arnold and I will forever ship Arnold and Helga. :3
13. I don't like horror movies, but I like to watch murder television shows. (Don't watch too many late at night coming from experience)
14. I'm plus size! Some may say 'thick' but no matter the stereotype I'm on a journey of self-love and I love to help other women feel comfortable in their own skin.
15. I love Pokemon, I own almost every video game and play them on a regular basis. I'll still watch the television show but only the old ones. Too much nostalgia.
16. I'm mixed with different kinds of races/ethnicities. I'm African American, Caucasian, French, German and Native Hawaiian. However, I have been told I look Dominican.
17. I'm very insecure about myself although I try to love myself. I used to be made fun of the color of my skin and called ugly by many students and teachers when I went to an all-white school. However, it still has an impact on me.
18. I wear wigs when I don't feel like rocking my curly hair. I wear them to try various hairstyles and colors to preserve the texture of my natural hair. It's fun to try a different look.
19. My sense of humor is pretty dark but I laugh at stupid things sometimes. My favorite YouTubers to watch is Daz Black/ Daz Games, Markiplier, A Brandon to the Past, and I'll watch Beauty Gurus such as Andrea'sChoice, It's My Raye Raye, Michelle Phan, BubzBeauty, and sometimes, Bethany Mota
20. I have autism. I am on the mild spectrum so I'm pretty normal but it affects my social skills. It's easier for me to communicate online than in real life because it's hard for me to approach people in real life. I get anxiety easily, fear rejection and get embarrassed easily if I make mild mistakes. It's kind of hard to explain but I consider myself an outcast because of how awkward I am. I'm not scary though, I just have a unique view of the world.
21. I'm very humble and I feel awkward when I receive compliments. Most of the time I feel I don't deserve them so I don't know how to act when I receive them in person, but I am always grateful and thankful.
22. I live with my boyfriend since both of my parents are dead. It has been hard taking care of myself with the help of my grandmother who also has passed but I'm thankful that my boyfriend takes care of me.
23. I like to write poetry and I write music as well. I have some things saved on my docs but I never published anything on here. I may share some of it with you guys though.
24. I love video games, mostly Nintendo video games. I'll watch horror video games such as Outlast and Resident Evil but I won't play them. Things chasing me in video games with the creep music scares me a lot.
25. I curse like a sailor and it is a very bad habit I know so I been trying to work on it. Of course, I have to keep it on the down low since I go to a Private Christian University.
26. My favorite movie is called Sabrina. I would recommend it. It's a nice romantic comedy without it being too mushy and I relate so well with it.
27. My favorite colors are Sunset Orange, Peach, Seafoam Green, and Black
28. I'm pretty weird once I get comfortable around someone. But, at least I'm never boring, right?
29. You'll always catch me listening to music. I need music to function and focus. It just helps me to relax.
30. My favorite kind of food is Seafood. I love just about anything except Oysters. I love Chinese food as well!
