Prologue

Run, run, RUN!

You run as fast as you can, trying to escape the horrible sound behind you. 

"MONSTER!"

You run and run, attempting to outrun the kids behind you. It happened every day... The moment you exited school grounds. Back then it was a little easier. You would take a rout up in the trees, that no one else could climb as quickly and gracefully as you could. But then they figured out that eventually, you had to land. They memorized where you landed, making it easier for them to catch you. As you approach the forest, you decide to go a different way. As always, you climb up a slim tree, and jump to the tallest tree as to see your choices.

Let's see... I can easily jump north and go through the obstacles, but again, they might chop it all down. Oh! I know! I can simply take the long way home! I just have to hope mum and dad get home late... Oh, and I have to be in time to receive Carlos... I don't want him to slap me again...

You start to jump from tree to tree as fast as you can. Soon, thanks to how fit you are from the daily chases, you were home. Then the idea occurred to you. Your mother and father weren't home yet... And neither was Carlos... 

I could run away!

You knew exactly where to. Mt. Ebott. You knew the place like the back of your hand, and no one ever dared to go up there. You smile softly at the idea, your adrenaline still rushing. You run in and start packing some stuff. A brush, three pairs of plain black leggings, three F/C hoodies, and random plain shirts. You also packed a bit of food, and a few water bottles. One thing you couldn't forget though... You jump over to the top of your closet and look all the way in the back corner. You grab your vaping device and your knife. 

I can't forget these... I'll probably have the urge to cut again, and the vaping helps me...

You stuff them in the pack and start heading downstairs.

"Where are you going young lady?!"

Oh no...
