I had imagined my life differently. Actually, I thought I'd work in a small coffee shop in town and live in a small apartment where you can hardly move around on the 7th floor. Every month I would throw a little money into a glass to buy a better camera instead of going on vacation like most others do. 

Most of the time I thought that I would never achieve anything in my life and that I would only lead a monotonous life in which hardly anything exciting would happen. I would never have thought that I could ever catch the eye of a man, because I always stayed in the background and I always went unnoticed. I was always just the girl with the camera who took good pictures from time to time and never something special that had to be considered.

Here I am. I posted my pictures on Instagram, which I took by myself with my own camera, and attracted the attention of Shawn's manager. I had the opportunity to travel around the world with the pop star and explore all the places with him. We quickly became friends, had pillow fights in our hotel rooms, ran around in the hotel lobbies, watched Disney movies for hours on off days, ate pizza together, went to events together and had a huge crush on each other at that time. But things just didn't work back then. During a party we drank together and finally there was a stupid One Night Stand where I got pregnant and snuggled up to Shawn. So my life had proved the complete opposite to me.

"What are you thinking about?" Shawn's voice broke the silence that had prevailed for several minutes.

I raised my head and looked at him with a frowning forehead. Actually, he couldn't have known that I was thinking too much again because he couldn't see my facial expressions. One day he noticed me twitching my corners of my mouth and nose when I was thinking about different things and since that day he has been able to see through me every time.

"I know you, Ally. You can never keep your mouth shut too long and when you do, you think again," Shawn explained and I couldn't suppress a giggle. 

"I was just thinking about what a mess my life has become. Actually, I had completely different expectations and ideas," I replied and rested my head on his shoulder again.

"Sometimes life gives you enough opportunities not to make it the way you want it to be. Whether it ends positive or negative," his head leaned against mine and his voice had a calming effect on me.

Since I've known him, it feels like Shawn is making every situation better and that only with his existence. He wouldn't even have to comfort me with motivating words, it would be enough if he was just in the same room. He radiated a familiar atmosphere and I knew when I had him I didn't have to feel alone.

"I can't decide whether it's positive or negative right now. On the one hand I'm glad that I know you and my career has progressed, on the other hand it would be better if I would continue to be unnoticed," I dreamily painted circles on his chest with my fingertips, as I have always done.

"Life isn't fair, and almost nothing happens the way you planned it."
