Chapter 4 - Exploring

Funneh's POV

I woke up to literal screams.

"WE HAVE TO GET OFF THIS ISLAND!" "NO! WE NEED TO FIND OUR PARENTS!" "YOU ARE CRAZY! WE DON'T HAVE PARENTS ALIVE, AND WE NEVER WERE IN A BOAT CRASH!" There was a bit of silence. "LUNAR, WHAT DO YOU THINK?" "Um... we could go explore? We might be trapped here on this island for a while, guys." "I guess we could do that..." "We need to wake up Funneh first, sis."

I hear them coming up the ladder, into the tree house. "FUNNEH!" They scream. "What? I'm awake." I say, sitting up.

"We're going to explore the island today." Draco says. "How do you know this is an island?" Gold asks. "BECAUSE YOU CAN SEE THE BEACH FROM HERE!" He yells. "THAT'S A LAKE!" She screams. "SEE! WE MUST HAVE BEEN IN A BOAT CRASH BECAUSE THE OCEAN IS RIGHT THERE!" Rainbow yells, pointing. "ENOUGH! WE'RE NEVER GOING TO GET ALONG IF YOU THREE KEEP ARGUING!" Lunar screams.

There was silence. "I'm going to eat breakfast." I hear her say. I hear them all following her down the ladder, and I decide to do the same.

After Some Fish For Breakfast,

We continued with Lunar's idea of exploring. We found a little hut. I started to walk in it. "Funneh, we don't know who lives there..." Gold says. I didn't care and continued to walk in it. The place had a sleeping bag, an electric grill, and lots of photos.

Rainbow's POV

I followed Funneh into the hut and decided to look at some of the photos there. I picked one up and it showed a man, a woman, and two children. They were all smiling. I set the photo down and grab another. This one was lined in white lace on the edges of the photo's frame. The picture showed a man and a woman getting married. Another one had seashells on the edges and in the picture, the man, the woman, and two children were at the beach, probably collecting seashells.

I'm the only one of us that remembers our parents. It's probably because I had that flashback a few days ago. The boat crash was only a hypothesis.

After a few minutes of looking at more photos with Funneh, I decide to go out and see how my other siblings were doing. When I get outside I see the man that was in the pictures. The man looked different though, his clothing was all torn, his hair was all messy.

And he was cornering my other siblings against a tree! He had a knife in his hand, pointing it straight towards my little brother. "YOU! GET AWAY FROM THEM!" I scream at him. I feel a hand on my shoulder and turn a little. It was Funneh. The man turns towards me. "If you want to save these people then you have to make a trade with me." The man says. "Okay. What is it?" I ask. "You come with me and I'll let them go."

Funneh's POV

"It's a deal then." Rainbow said. The man grabbed my older sister and took her off into the forest. "RAINBOW!!!" I screamed. I couldn't believe my eyes. She was gone.

I looked over at my other siblings. Gold was holding Draco's hand up to her eyes. I walked over to them. "What's going on?" I ask. "That man cut me..." Draco says. I look over at his hand. It was bleeding. "That man is just awful..." Lunar says. I agree with her...

Draco's POV

A Day Passed...

Gold had wrapped my hand in a cloth. It still hurt, but I could do things with it.

"We need to make up a plan to save Rainbow!" I said. "Yeah!" Lunar agreed with me. "But we don't know where she is..." Gold says. "That's why we need to find out where she is." I say. "Okay. Then let's go 'exploring' again." Funneh says.

When we went out exploring, we found a dark cave. "Let's go down there." Lunar says. "But, it's so dark!" I complain. "Do you want to save Rainbow or not?" She asks. "Fine." I say, reluctantly. We head down the dark cave.

After ten minutes of walking, the cave splits into two pathways. "Draco and I will go down the right one. Lunar and Gold will go down the left one." Funneh says.

Funneh and I head down the right path. "The right path is always right!" Funneh exclaims. I laugh. After I stop laughing, something hits my face. "What the..." I pull the being of of my face and I see it's a bat! "AHHH!" I scream, looking at it's little brown head. "Then I see bats flying into Funneh. "DRACO! WHAT IS THIS?" Funneh yells. "BATS!" I scream.

I grab Funneh's arm, and start to run. Then, there was another fork in the road. There were four paths. I chose one of the ones in the middle and kept running. Finally, we were out of the cave. But then, I look up. I giant eagle was circling above. It flew towards a tree house, probably 50 feet in the sky.
