The next morning Charlotte woke up early in order to do her chores so she could learn how to be an archer. She quickly went out to the small garden behind the house and picked food for their breakfast, She walked back into her home and set the bread and lad it on three plates and then walked out the front door with a lantren in her hand and looked for the mushrooms that grew around the tree's.

When she came back from picking mushrooms she washed them gently and put them over the fire to cook, her mother and father slowly woke up as the sun rose over the hill and shone threw the window. Her father smiled as Charlotte he sat down and she poured him a glass of milk. Her mother smiled as she gathered the kings half of food from their garden.

"I'm just going to drop these off at the castle and i'll be back for breakfast soon, in the mean time teach your daughter how to shoot a bow and arrow"

Charlotte smiled as her mother walked out the door and her dad finished the breakfast, Damon stood up and told his daughter to go into town and get the bow and arrow form Sir Thomas. She nodded with excitment and she pulled a shawl over her shoulders and walked out into the woods.

*crunch, crunch*

the sounds of twigs breaking from behind her made Charlotte turn around and looked everywhere until she was sure she had just been hearing things. She walked a little more forwards then she heard the twigs breaking again and she was thrown into a solid oak tree, She clutched her chest and looked up she saw three large wolves and a tall burly man standing in front of them.

"listen here you pretty little thing come quietly and we won't kill your family, you understand?" He spoke with a harsh tone as he raised a gag and a very sharp looking knife. Charlotte tried to move backwards but with the tree right behind her she was having absolutely no luck. The man moved towards her and he was just about to gag her when she did something that she probably shouldn't have, She leaned right up and kissed the man until he was distracted enough to not notice her running. (picture of guy on the side ---------------->)

She got up and ran towards town, she said excuse me to people but when she felt a cold hand smack down on her arm she turned around about to shriek. It wasn't the man in the woods but Sir Thomas who had a worried look on his face, " Charlotte you look like you've just seen a ghost, are you okay?" Charlotte threw her arms around the mans neck and sobbed into his chest, Telling him everything she had just witnessed and she was afraid, very very afraid.

Sir Thomas helped the girl into his house behind the Black smith stall, Isobel came running out and when she saw Charlotte's face she wrapped the girl in a warm blanket and sat her down by the fire,

"Charlotte what happened in those woods? how did you get away?" Isobel looked at the girl with concern as Charlotte raised her head and opened her puffy eyes,

"I kissed him, i kissed him to distract him"

Isobel covered her mouth and by the look on her face she was trying to not laugh at the young girl who started to laugh at her own actions, "I kissed the man who was about to kill me! how crazy does that sound!?!" She kept laughing and soon Isobel and Sir Thomas joined in.

Her life was going to take a wild turn but for now she let the laughter last a little while longer...
