Many days passed since Tama's departure, leading to a steady routine in the kingdom. Krystal was forbidden to go anywhere without another guard or a handmaiden. The King's fear of his only heir being kidnapped lead to him taking extreme precautions when it came to his daughter. But not even his fear stopped from the onslaught of Princes and Nobles that wished for Krystal's hand. Many men saw the weakened state of the King as an opportunity to pursue the land and royalty that came with the marriage, but many barely made it through to meet the Princess. The King's standards were even higher than before, wishing only the best for his poor daughter who had already been through so much struggle.

A young Prince by the name of Zakari, had begun to take an interest in the young Princess, sending many gifts of flowers and poetry of her beauty, which were quickly declined. Krystal figured, if the Prince can't show his face, then what worth is it falling for him. He's probably an ugly fat troll. Krystal scowled as a maiden brushed through her unruly morning hair.

"Princess, what trouble's you?" The maiden asked, finishing with the brush, beginning to braid Krystal's blond hair into a sort of crown.

"The new Prince, Zack-something, he hasn't shown himself, nor told my father anything about himself, yet he would like for me to marry him." Krystal felt frustration with all the offers and ugly horny teenagers that had requested her hand. And it wasn't even their decision, she knew it was all the Lord's ideas, trying to rise within the ranks.

"Ah yes, the Prince's name is said to be Zakari, he's from a kingdom far East."

"There are no kingdoms to the East."

"Across the ocean, there is talk that a settlement has actually taken hold in The Land Of Shifters. He is said to be the son of the dying Lord, making him the only Prince on the other continent." The maiden babbled excitedly. "This means the shifters are a dying breed, the unity-"

"There will be no unity, whatever fairy tale your living under is wrong." Krystal snapped, sick of the ignorance from her servant. Krystal stood up abruptly, leaving her seat by the mirror, deciding to go speak to her father, her silk blue dress draping behind her as she walked. As she made her way to the throne room, loud trumpets blared and the beating of a drum began. Great, another royal walks through these halls. Krystal made sure to be in her throne next to her father before the grand oak doors opened. The King nodded in acknowledgment before turning his attention back to the heavy doors, watching them creak open.

Bright sunlight filled the room, lighting up the tapestry and blinding many that sat closest to the door. In the sunlight stood a man, barely out of his boyish stage, his shoulders broad and covered in light armor. His helmet, painted white, rested at his hip, along with a sword that rested in a leather scabbard. The man did look proper, holding his chest out and his head high, light brown hair perfectly lined, dark blue eyes shining in the light.

Krystal took her eyes off of the handsome man, choosing to stare down her father instead, wishing to request what this disturbance was. "Father," Krystal started in a hushed tone, the King leaning in slightly to listen. "What is this? I thought we were just discussing treaties."

"Darling," The King said, not taking his eyes off of the Prince approaching them. "This is a matter of treaties."

The Prince now stood in front of the two, quickly kneeling on his left knee. "You Highness and Majesty, I am Prince Zakari, son of Lord William, ruler of the only provenance in The Land Of Shifters. I have come to discuss on behalf of my father on the possibility of uniting both continents."

The King shifted slightly in his seat, glancing down at the respectful Prince. He cleared his throat before speaking. "Please rise, Prince Zakari, you are treated as an equal to me and my daughter." The King gestured to Krystal, who sat poised, only glancing at Zakari when directed to. The Prince's dark blue eyes stared into hers before a playful wink happened towards Krystal. She felt her cheeks redden, scoffing before turning her gaze away. The King chuckled, enjoying what he thought was the blossoming of a relationship.
