Nova Sullivan lived a happy life; she had a roof to sleep under, a loving father, great friends, and was well set on her way to law school.

That is, until she awoke in the deep, dark abyss of hell - literally.

Her perfect life faltered; her friends were actually nothing but figments of her imagination, her dreams of becoming a lawyer had become virtually unreachable, and her father - the man who had raised her since birth - was the ruler of the undead himself.

With the help of a mysterious demon named Theo, she must fall headfirst into the incesssant responsibilty of ruling the underworld.

Little does she know, there are more dangerous things that lurk throughout - things that make her question if darkness is her only salvation.
