“This is your god-mother's house?” I said, looking at a beautiful vintage house.It looked familiar.
“Yes,Come on" Reece said, taking my hand. He was so excited to meet her. I couldn't help but wonder who this woman was.
We pressed the bell and a young maid came and opened it.
“Sebastian!!!,Oh my... welcome sir ,Ma'am would be delighted to see you" The young maid said, hugging Reece.
“ Ava this is Anita. Anita meet Ava, my wife"Reece said, introducing us and my eyes widened.
“What?!,Oh my Gosh, Congrats... I'm so happy for you.Please come in ,sorry for keeping you outside.I'll go get Ma'am”.
We both sat down on the comfortable couch.The house was beautiful and homey.It looked like your stereotypical grandparent’s house.I took in the lovely scent of cookies which made my suspicions higher.
“Where's my boy?” A familiar voice said,confirming my suspicions and Reece stood up to hug her.
“Mrs Garniette?” I said and she didn't seem surprised to see me.
“Ava darling ,Come here. I haven't seen you in so long" She said and I stood up to embrace her. I had really missed her.
“Hold on, you two know each other?” Reece asked and I nodded.
“Small world right?. Ava here is the patient I was telling you about" She said and then turned to me and whispered “You're his crush”.
“Please sit ,sit. Anita, could you please you get my kids cookies and some milk”.
“Oh no thank you. I just ate-"i said.
“Don't you know to never reject Mrs Garn’s cookies Av" Reece whispered.
“Nonsense dear.Milk is a good source of calcium” Mrs Garn said. Anita brought the cookies and milk and we are and drank.
“Thank you Mrs Garn, these are really nice"I said.
“You're welcome dear".
“Anyway godma,I have an announcement to make." Reece started and Mrs Garn nodded. "Ava here, is the girl I've been telling you about and” Reece smiled at me and I smiled back “We are getting Married”.
“FINALLY!!!” Mrs Garniette jumped excitedly “It's about time!!! Come here" She pulled us in for a bone-crushing hug.”God, I'm so happy!!!!”
“Wait.Mrs Garn,What do you mean by finally?.Were you expecting us to?”. I asked and she widened her eyes before smiling and nooding her head.
“Sit down Darlings”She said and we all sat down and she smiled amusedly.
“I guess this is the best time to tell you.I must confess, I'm guilty of matchmaking" She said and I raised my eyebrow.
“What do you mean?”I asked and looked at Reece , his facial expression matched mine.
“Look dear, When you told me that your nightmares came back- I'm sorry, Reece knows about them right?” She asked and I nodded “Okay, When your mum called me and told me that your nightmares were back, I knew that the medications were not really helping. What you needed was Physical, someone who could be real with you and train you to fight and be strong .Someone who experienced what you were going through and knew how to go about it and what better person than my god son, Reece. I knew that since he had a girlfriend who was also a victim of bullying. He would understand. And I felt that he also needed help to get over the deceit that; 'all girls that go through bullying never end up well.' He needed healing. Now, My aim wasn't really to get you both in a relationship, but for both of you to help each other grow, through your experiences.
You both were to give each other hope and that was what I was hoping for. I mean Ava, you did need the gym’s environment quite alright,but you also needed encouragement .You needed someone to pick you back up and reshape you. Reshape your thinking. Your aspect” She said and then faced Reece. “And then, Sebastian honey, you needed to know that you had potential. True, you were not able to help Sierra but you could still help others. You needed to know that losing Sierra wasn't the end of the world and that there's always hope for people no matter what happens. I'm very glad that both of you are getting Married. You gave and still give each other hope. You were and are meant for each other”. She said and a tear slipped from my eye. I cry a lot,I know.
“Wow. I don't know what to say……..Thank you.Because if you didn't bring us together, I won't have gotten the chance to have such a wonderful person in my life”.Reece whispered and looked at me, another tear slipped from my eye.
“Son,I didn't bring you both together,Fate did and I believe God did."She said “I just helped you open your eyes to see Fate calling you". She said and I cried. Reece held me by his side and patted gently my back. I slowly stood up and hugged Mrs Garnette.
“Thank you” I whispered.
“Smile and wipe your tears dear.You both have my blessing ” she said and I smiled.
“Hold on?!” Reece said “...The dress.The dress was from you wasn't it?”. He asked Mrs Garn and she laughed.
