We passed so many stores, restaurants, and gas stations. Cars were driving near us, but across that road they were speeding. It was getting colder by the second. I'm sitting in the backseat of the car, blasting music over my siblings bickering and my parents discussing routes, work drama, and food plans. Me being the only girl in the family, I get just about anything I ask for, so I texted my mom and asked her to get me some Chick-fil-a. If I asked out loud, my brothers would start yelling about how disgusting it is and how I get whatever I want. My mom replied with an "Okay." and by the sounds of my brothers complaining, I could tell that she'd told them the plans. I rarely ever have to ask twice for something, its just a natural "Yes." every time. If anyone knew how much I wished my life was different, how much I wished I didn't have to deal with all of my lunatic brothers, they'd call me ungrateful. Which I am not, I just need to have some rules for me to grow off of. Like at school I had to figure out life was different there, and I wasn't going to get everything I wanted, reality always hurts everyone. Even if you don't see it. But for now, school was the least of my worries. I'm going to be spending all winter break in Colorado with my (Mainly boy) Family, and my parents friends who also have a son. Since most of my family is boys when I was born it was a "Grand celebration." Or so I was told. I looked out the window and tried to figure out where we were. I take my earbuds out only to hear the bickering get louder. "We're almost there." It's 3 o'clock and I haven't eaten since 10 am. I decided to go to sleep to pass time faster, but only to be woken up what felt like a few seconds later by my big brother Devin shaking me. "Wake up sleepy butt!" He pulls out my earbuds and whispers " Or Ill tell mom and dad about "Steve"." I just put and quickly say "I'm awake!" All my brothers use "Steve" to bribe me into doing things they want. "Steve" is my boyfriend at school that I don't want my parents to know about because they'd make a big deal about it and question him to death. Anyway, my brother handed me my bag with my food, and my drink. I ate quickly and then realized we were very close to my aunts house. I started to pack up my backpack and I threw all my stuff into the trunk, knowing that my brothers will have to take it inside. We arrive at my Aunts house and I get out of the car. I see my grandparents, aunts, and my uncles all on the porch waving at us. Me and my mom went to greet them while my dad and brothers got the bags out of the car. More than half of them were my moms because she likes to have "Clothes for every occasion." Anyway, after I greeted we walked inside and I saw that they redecorated the house since last year.
"So Sarah, do you like our new Decorations?" My aunt asked me. I could tell she wanted to hear yes.
"Yeah, its very modern and homey. Did you do the whole house?"
"Yes we did! We even redecorated your room! Your mom sent us some ideas." My aunt had decided that if I didn't have to stay in the room with all the boys that I might visit more. She wasn't completely wrong, my mom wanted me to spend more time with her, but her redecorating did make the sleeping arrangement better. My brothers walked in the door and put the bags in. I saw that Michel had my bags so I went over to him, grabbed my bags and gave him an devilish smirk. I was good at those, it was a thing I liked to do to people, its like my signature move. I walked upstairs to "My room" and opened the doors. "Dang, Auntie really stepped up her game." The walls were painted gray, there were lights every where you looked, there was a canopy bed, grey wood floors, a large carpet under the bed, a humongous mirror hanging on the wall, the closet got notice bigger and there was now a vanity inside it, and there was a door to a room that wasn't there before. I put my bags down the bed and walked to the door. I opened It and saw that the theme was the same, but this was a bathroom, and dag did it look good. Lights everywhere, once again.
"I see you found the bathroom we added, thought it would be a good idea for you to not share with 1000 boys." My aunt said.
"Yeah, that's fantastic."
"I am glad you like it! Your parents friends from high school came to see your parents and your uncle and I. They have a son who goes to your school, you may know him."
"Okay, I'm going to change really fast, and then I will meet you guys downstairs."
"Okie Dokie!" My aunt left the room and I locked the door.
I changed into a hoodie and some sweat pants and put my hair up into a bun then left the room. I walked downstairs and saw my parents talking to some people I haven't see before and I saw a kid a few inches taller than me. My parents noticed my presence and called me over. "Sarah, this is Daniel. He goes to your school." "Hey Kaitlyn." "Hey Daniel!" Devin says. "Or shall I say Steve.
