You never know exactly what's going to happen, until it does. And when bad things do happen, you can't help but wish that things would just go back to the way the were before.
The day I found out she was 'dead', is a day I couldn't ever forget. It was like I was there, with her in the accident, when in reality, I was asleep in my own room. I knew what really happened that night, not what the police told her parents. It's going to be a secret I take to my grave.
-The Dream
It was a beautiful night, full moon, stars shining in the sky, calm and peaceful out. Brooke was walking down the street, on her way home and relaxed. She wasn't bothering anyone, just minding her own business, when suddenly this guy appears out of nowhere. He just casually walks up to her, and starts talking. He was pale, his skin almost translucent, eyes almost glowing, but other than that, perfect in every way. Tall, with a slight build, light brown hair, eyes that were bluer than the sea. His facial structure was strong, but not in a repulsive way, in a way that made you look closer. Just by the way he walked you could tell he was confident, but not cocky. From the way he talked with her, you could tell he was quirky, in a cute way. All in all, he was hot. Perfect for her. But there was something off about him, I just couldn't place my finger on it.
So they were walking together for a while, talking and laughing, and Brooke didn't even realize she missed her road. The guy was leading her almost unnoticably somewhere, and she didn't quite notice yet. I wanted to yell, tell her to run, but it was like I was frozen, i couldn't talk, couldn't move, I couldn't do anything except watch. It wasn't until they crossed into the part of town Brooke never goes into that she noticed something was wrong. By then it was too late. She turned to ask the guy where they were, and he slammed her against the wall, covering her mouth so she couldn't scream. He dragged her into the building, and threw her onto the ground, taping her mouth so she couldn't cry out for help, her hands and feet so she couldn't fight back, and held her down. Then he began to drink her blood. She tried to fight back, but the more he fought, the harder he bit down on her neck. She tried screaming even though she knew the tape would mute it, but got too weak to do much more than wimper. Tears were streaming down her pale face, her pulse weakening. The vampire's grip on her shoulders was crushing her, but she didn't notice anything anymore, she was nearly dead. By then the vampire's thirst was sated, and he knew something was different about her. He brought his wrist up to his bloodied mouth, and bit down, just hard enough to draw a light, but steady flow of blood. he ripped the duct tape off Brooke's mouth quickly, and you could see the outline it made on her snowy white face. He parted her lips gently and placed his wrist to her mouth, forcing his blood into her. after about a minute and a half, Brooke's eyes flickered open and she began to cough, pushing his wrist away. The vampire grabbed the back of her head before she could move away anymore, and held his wrist firmly to her mouth, and she had no choice but to swallow. After a moment, she stopped fighting it, and embraced it. At that point, the vampire gently laid her back down, and slowly removed his wrist. Brooke blinked in confusion, and then drowsiness took over, and she relaxed. The vampire licked his own wound shut, and picked her up slowly and carried her over to the bed in the corner of the room, where she stayed for the remainder of the night, and I got my final look at her when the first lights were coming up over the horizon, and realized she wouldn't ever look the same. Instead of growing in beauty, if anything she lost some. The first ugly Vampire was made that night, and I will always go around carrying that in my heart, mind, and soul.
