connie wrapped my hand up to the point i don't think i dog would chew through it. but that's ok, it stopped, or atlest stunted, the blood flow so i didnt have to get blood all over this lady's house. she lead me down the staircase and into the kitchen.
as we entered the kitchen i got a glance at the boy around my age sitting at the table with his sister looking at me intently, slightly making me shudder under the gaze following me, like i was a killer or something, it was really uncomfortable, but i just looked back at connie and she was caring the pot with the hot alfredo.
i moved out of the way a let her through with the hot pot and she sat it on the table. she then jestered me to sit, i awkwardly walked over and sat in beside of lyra and in front of toby. connie left the kitchen to use the bathroom before dinner. i awkwardly looked to my lap when i heard toby speak
"hey, umm... rose?" i looked up at the guy across from me " yeah?" i responded " im sor-ry for not helping you clean the glass up i just did-n't expect you to help most o-of lyra friend just stand ther-re and look at me l- like im stupid or som-mething ." i looked at him silently processing his twitching, trying to ignore it " its ok toby, but you did help" he looked at me with a questioning look
"how though?" he said obviously trying to think of how he helped in that situation "well you cleaned up the rest of the glass, and got a new plate." i said, i could see the smirk on lyra face as she took glances at the both of u.
"b-but you cut your hand." i looked down at my hand with blank eyes "well yeah, but it didnt really hurt." i said giving him a toothy grin. then Connie came back and sat down beside of me, it seems the conversation ended as soon as it began. Connie started putting food on everyone's plate including mine, i said a small thank you then she put some on her plate, then we all began to eat there was little chit chat but not much, which i dont mind, it was kinda nice.
once we were all done with dinner lyra lead me to her room to begin studying.
