A secret to hide

Just hanging out

Rainbow walked home with her backpack slumped over her shoulder (yes ponies have shoulders). Pinkie had invited her over after detention, at 6:00. She didn't know why it made her nervous to be with just Pinkie, in her house, but she decided to go regardless. Besides, she had already abandoned her once, she wasn't gonna do it again.

At 5:30 Rainbow got into the shower and cleaned herself up. By the time she was done, it was 5:59. There was no way she was gonna make it to Pinkies on time. Nonetheless, she dashed out the door and started flying to Pinkies house. 

Pinkie sat impatiently on her bed. Dash was 15 minutes late. True, Dash was always late but, last time they were gonna hang out, she abandoned them. Pinkie had sent her mother, father and sisters to their granny pie's and Pinkie wanted so very badly to come but wanted to be with dash even more. Now she would've missed it for nothing. The more she thought about it, the sadder she felt. Another minute goes by. 

"Maybe Dash isn't coming," She thinks. Right after she looks out her window and sees a blue dot in the distance. A smile grows on her face, knowing that dash was coming after all. 

"Hey Pinkie, sorry I'm late. It took a while to get ready, then I forgot where you lived." rainbow dash explained at the window

"It's okay. Now, Are you coming through the window or the door?"

"Um, The window."

"Alrighty then."

Pinkie opened the window as wide as it could go, so Dash could fly in. Once Rainbow dash was inside, Pinkie shut the window.

" So, I rented a movie and got popcorn so we can watch them tonight." Pinkie pie told as Rainbow launched herself on Pinkie's bed.

"I thought I was jsut hanging here for the afternoon." Rainbow said as she sat up.

"Oh ,I...um" Pinkie stammered. She became mildly nervous and her throat closed up. She became very shaky and felt as if she was gonna cry. Until, Rainbow came up and grabbed her hoof. She looked up and stared at her eyes.

"Don't worry Pinkie, I didn't have any other plans anyway. I can stay."

Pinkie smiled and nodded. She got up and put in a movie. Afterward, she picked up the , still warm, popcorn under her bed. Rainbow opened her mouth to say something, but then decided not tot question her.

Pinkie sped through the trailer before the movie and pressed start. Then she went and sat by Dash, with the popcorn in between them. Pinkie took a piece of popcorn and threw it into her mouth. Dash did the same as the opening credits rolled. 

After about twenty minutes of silence from the two, Pinkie leaned her head on Rainbow's shoulder. Rainbow went beet red and was tooken aback. She was just as confused now as she was when Pinkie kissed her the other day. An uneasy awkwardness rose and Rainbow felt like she had to move or do something. She confused herself for a moment, but decided to stay in the posititon for a little longer. It wasn't often she got to snuggle up with a cute girl right? Wait... Did she just call Pinkie cute? I mean she is cute but alot of things are, like puppies and babies. It doesn't mean anything to call someone cute right? Well, Pinkie wasn't just cute to her, she was astonishing. Her shimmering smile, pretty eyes and her voice, well, Her voice was undiscribeable . It always managed to put a grin on her face. Her lips looked as soft as a tissue, and a though passed Rainbow. She grabbed Pinkie's face so it was facing her. Her head tilted slightly as their lips made contact. Pinkie's eye's closed as she sunk into the moment. Rainbow let go, then leaned back in. She was so gentle and soft. There was some sloppyness here and there, but Dash wouldn't change a thing. Once they parted, they found themselves lying down, with dash ontop of Pinkie. Pinkie smiled in satisfaction and the two fell alseep right then and there.
