"You what?!" Victor hissed, glaring at me. "You could kill us all!"

My eyes widened. Since when was Victor this angry? I mean, I understand the whole demon thing, but...

"I didn't agree to it!" I say quickly. "She forced me to! It's unfair!"

Victor stopped, staring at me. "How did she force you?"

"I don't really know. Just kinda shook my hand?"

"That's against the rules of demons, though," he said quietly, thinking. "She was probably under orders."

"I don't mean to interrupt, but how do we explain this to the others?!" Alisa shouted, her eyes blazing with fury. "Luke made a deal with a demon!"

Oh, yeah. We should have thought about that...

"We don't, Alisa!" Victor said, frowning.

"And why not?! They'll be just as worried as we are!" Alisa hissed.

"You really think they need to be worried about one more thing that went wrong? No! And they'll think we're crazy or something!"

The next few minutes Alisa and Victor were arguing. I kept quiet most of the time. I didn't understand how the whole demon thing happened! And they're 'under orders'?

My phone buzzed.

I quickly grabbed it, looking at the notification.

Gabriel; Luke, where are you?!

Oh, just Gabriel. I sighed.

Luke; Alisa's house. Why, what's up?

Gabriel; We all thought you died or something!

I regretted what I sent back.

Luke; I might as well have just died cuz a demon just made a deal with me but ya know, whateva

Gabriel; ....what?

Luke; HA gotta go bye

"That's stupid!" Alisa snapped.

I jumped, nearly dropping my phone.

Victor sighed. "We're not telling them."

Alisa opened her mouth to protest, but then seemed to decide against it. Finally, she said, "Fine. But when you two get hurt, it's not my fault."

"Is this a bad time to say-"

"Yes, Luke," Alisa and Victor said.

"I didn't even finish my sentence!" I said.

Alisa sat down, rolling her eyes. "When someone says 'is this a bad time to...' then the answer is usually yes."

My phone buzzed again. And again.

"I think we should go," Victor says, glancing at my phone. "And we are not saying anything about the demons!"
